Offline Gold bugged or not working?
I left my game off for last night while sleeping I earned 37.1U gold.. At level 244 right now each kill gives me 1.22U so I think maybe its not working about 1 minute online I earn more then 9 hours offline

same here, I am getting e27 gold per kill, but only earned e23 gold overnight. I can't tell if this is worse than before but definitely not working.

Well, it's nice to see they 'fixed' this problem with the game so well....

Sounds like it is better than it used to be.

I had the same thing. About 8 or 9 hours offline, and I return to a 'reward' of about 5 kills worth of online play.

Are they secretly mining bitcoins with the game?

They really do push you hard to leave the game running considering how horrible offline gold gain is.

This is not working as advertised in the update. I make 4.48e48 gold per kill at my current wall idling, familiars are on ultimates and click damage but that shouldn't matter as they require zero input from me once placed. I was offline for nearly 11 hours and only make 1.51e50 gold. Thats less than 30 kills of online idling. Thats actually worse than pre-patch. Heck I made triple the 11 hour offline just writing this post.

Speed hack cheat engine will still be used then for about an hour a day so that I can turn the game off and not have to deal with it slowing/interfering with other things I do. I was really hoping to not need it anymore.

I must say I am very disappointed in the "idle" aspect of the game. It is anything but idle if you want to progress without having it playing in the background for 16+ hours a day.

From the moment I heard about the SH&T update I stopped spending any money on the game, boy am I glad I did, would have been a total waste.

This is a giant step backwards from a gameplay aspect. Zero point to going past the level cap, zero point to idling/farming at your wall, once you hit level cap. Click damage isn't even an option, it would take 9783 days of idling at my wall in online mode for click damage to exceed my dps, at current favor levels.

F2P idle games are supposed to be nearly endless and whats that you ask? Yes, Idle. This game is exactly neither.

And the lame excuses about early access don't cut it anymore, after a year and 3 months, that's not early access, not sure what I would call it, but definitly not that.

After dropping a bunch of cash in the game [over time] I too finally quit. My reason was the failed off-line mode and the memory leak issue which is still there draining resources for a game that =should= be idling off-line, not running in the background or expecting regular active input throughout each day.

CNE has been following a pattern of income development rather than asset improvement. The game is great but it's heading down a path now that I can no longer support. If they actually fix the off-line mode _and_ the memory leak issue I'll likely return my monetary support. Until then, f2p is an option until I lose interest entirely.

Can't say i have this problem. Closed the game before playing something else, came back 3 to 4 hours later, could purchase 3 lvl ups. No idea about the numbers because i didn't pay much attention but it seems to work as it was supposed to.

Yep, unfortunatly offline gold still sucks and I totally agree with this

I still have to do stuff so probably that's why I still like the tanking and healing changes. I'm earning way more favor than before. Some veterans don't have anything else to do? That's a totally different discussion so yeah... You guys didnt say that you would add stuff for people who cleared all variants and had tons of favor in all campaigns so...

You did, however, say that offline gold would be fixed but we still, however, have that issue. Fix it. It really looks like nothing really changed on that part of the update. You guys wrote the patch notes, not some random datamining guy.

And please, give us a proper answer on that matter... cause, again, you wrote that stuff not the players.

The point isn't whether or not it works. We know it works. The problem is that 10 hours Offline is worth roughly the same amount of gold as 10 minutes of Online play. This makes people leave the game running in the background to feel like they're making any progress.

This ramps up quickly: back when I first started and could barely reach 50 the Offline gold seemed adequate, but after I started pushing my wall past 75 I noticed it was quickly becoming less helpful. Now that my wall is around 125, Offline gold is a total joke.

The issue is that it is PATHETICALLY easy to cap the DPS metrics used to determine offline gold amounts. Increasing group DPS, thus, has absolutely no effect on what many of us would be earning...we're multiple exponents beyond capping party dps's contribution to offline gold earnings.

I'll admit I'm not quite sure if I understood what you mean.

Nevermind, what I was saying is that offline gold looks like it wasn't fixed at all and they wrote this:

Originally posted by Patch Notes:
We've updated the formula that calculates your party DPS to be much more accurate, taking into effect things like Minsc's favored enemy, Barrowin's hammers, and Regis' damage type bonuses. This has resulted in ultimate abilities getting a healthy damage boost.

Additional, as a result of the party DPS formula changes, offline gold, gold found in silver chests, gold from distractions, and gold from bounty contracts should now be more in line with gold earned while actively playing.

Weekend buffs, Ishi's gold find buff and others aren't mentioned in the patch notes but when they write "taking into effect things like" it means that the new "formula" is taking into effect also other things... isn't it? I mean, usually...

Just that, offline gold wasn't fixed. Whatever metric and other stuff, if Paul (example) earns 2k per kill while online he can't come back after 10 hours offline with 20k as offline bonus, it's just insulting if that's the fix... or something isn't working as intended. I appreciate people delving into metrics and stuff like that but as a player it's really not my job lol. I asked them a proper answer on that matter.

IMHO, to fix the offline gold, you'd have to fix to offline/idle part of the game in it's entirety, that is, enabling offline level progression. It doens't matter if I have a e60 party on level 1 if I let the game offline for 4 hours and when I come back it is still on the same level.. even if the gold dropped would be "equivalent" to a wall level to that party (e60 in this example), I would still need X hours of "active" play to progress to my new wall...

I can't help but feel like there are enough mobile games that have figured this out already and it seems trivial to still be dealing with simple math problems at this point.

I think a better way to look at it is that they don't want to fix it and like my first post noted, there may be a hidden reason why. Perhaps to sell their paid packages? Perhaps to mine more bitcoins. Who knows? Point is, to the player, it doesn't matter. We don't appreciate it either way.

Which is exactly why I went from a paying customer to f2p until a fix is in and done. There have been plenty of rant posts and diplomatic discussion threads. If CNE wants to pretend like it's news to them that it's not working then they really don't need the revenue.

And here's a newz flash in case they don't get it... Former paying customers can become former players too. Just in case it's not crystal clear, some folks are getting tired of the pretence.
