I often do it when I get some kind of announcement that someone on my friend list is playing some game I don't care about which pops up right over the upgrade button I wanted to press (and the stupid message takes 30+ seconds to disappear).
Steam Overlay is enabled in my general options and specifically in the options for this game. I have tried every permutation of disabling/reenabling the overlay and restarting the game that I could possibly think of.
I'm at a total loss and at my wit's end here.
Two more things I can think of that can cause this issue:
- Do you have any sort of screen capture / fps counter software running? Those are known to interfere with the overlay, fraps being a common offender.
- Are you starting Idle Champions from your Steam library, or with a shortcut? If you start from a shortcut, the store/overlay will not work.
