Is this your first run of Party Crashers? If your gold multiplier is low, it may be worth it to quit (fail) the mission after you've accumulated some favour, then try again.
Actually, I usually (on purpose) fail the basic quest in an event 2-3 times before allowing myself to complete it. This (among other things) lets me get enough of a gold multiplier quickly enough that I can easily complete all variants by day 2 or 3.
When you have a large enough gold multiplier, you will find it easy to level your heroes quickly enough that you won't even notice the level 50 boss. As in you can go AFK and come back to find yourself already at level 99 or 149. Or higher if you have good equipment on your heroes.
It's usually worth it to farm at the wall (the level you can't seem to pass no matter how much you level your heroes) for some time before resetting, but exactly how long to do this for depends on your current favour gain rate, time pressure, etc. As you play more, you should quickly develop a sense of when to complete/fail/reset a quest.
One more thought: against enemies with armour-based health and hit-based health, fast heroes are often more valuable than hard-hitting heroes. E.g., during one of my runs in this event, I couldn't kill the boss on level 200. I then switched my main damage dealer from the slow-but-powerful Strix to the fast-but-weak(er) Hitch and easily cleared the level in one go. My Hitch did far less damage than Strix but was still able to chip away at the boss. And since he attacked 1.5x as often as Strix, he essentially sliced down the boss 1.5x as quickly.
So it's due to my main damage dealer not having the right stats/attack?

In general, if you use Delina as your main DPS, it is usually a BAD idea. She has meme status as one of the worst DPS in the game even after FOUR consecutive buffing attempts.
My party is basically the same this time around, although WAY less powerful since I just started it. Again, Jarlaxle was dps at very start, then delina after an hour or so. I only have up to....forgot his name...arkhan? Dragon tank guy - unlocked. Like 12 (?) heroes. I'll try and get an official link off the site. Again, I'm still VERY new and was just wondering about the shield and why I can't seem to hurt Zariel (200). Only tried a couple times before I made the post (since it seemed something different was going on... and this thread confirmed it)
Don't forget to redeem the gift codes. You will get several new champions and some gear from chests.
Area 200 is pretty good for your first event, I think! Especially if it's your first encounter with armored health. I didn't even get to area 100 in my first event.
Enemies with armored health can be tricky because the damage you do doesn't carry over between attacks. You need to hurt them enough with each hit to take out a health segment, or else that damage basically doesn't count. If you're not seeing any impact on the health bar, you need to find a way to increase your damage to overcome the armor. Or maybe concede that this is as far as you can get, and reset for your next run. Events have favor, too, so you'll come back stronger and get further. = )
In meantime, here is the initial setup and final "stat sheet" from that initial, long mad wizard run.

I also noticed my 300% dmg buff is gone. I was logged out for the last 2 or so hours because I had 1 hour left on that buff. Should have realized it was using it while idling offline... not sure how i'll stand a chance to beat 200 now :x
EDIT: Can't seem to find the formation for "Party crashers".....
Strix hasn't gotten to her specialization yet (smelly lunch is what I used in my other run). I'm sooooooo much weaker on this run. Used like all the consumables, etc., during my first one. Evalyn had like 11.5k hp and was getting her party-wide buff up to 1.5mil% +
Also, Jarlaxle is basically just there for gold atm. Minsc is humanoid spec, so I could swap him in in a pinch. I also don't have any favor with this diety/god yet. I used like 10mil on buffs from Torm favor but I'm not sure they work in this new (Asmo) run.
Given the same champions I'd have arranged them more like:

I don't know if that'd make enough of a different to get you further, so just take this as general advice. You did a pretty good job putting people where they'd be effective but there's always room to learn ^^
Edit responding to your edit:
Jarlaxle's great for gold, but he only boosts his own damage, not anyone else's. So if you get stuck again, definitely try swapping him out, preferably for someone with the "Support" role.
When you look at your blessings screen, do you see how there's 2 columns? The ones on the left only apply within that campaign, but the blessings on the right apply to the whole game.
And, yea, I see what you did. I had strix towards the front because she was vital to my gold farming in that first run (her rez was going off every minute or so). Guess I overvalued delina's buff for being in in/near the back.
So, as for the lv200 zariel boss with the shield on her hp bar. Is there anything I could do with just these basic heroes? Or would I need a bigger roster to pick from
Ahhhhh. That's why they're so expensive. I hadn't gone over everything yet so I missed that. Nice to know.
