i never spend more than the 1/3 of my total Favor in pocket
( Exemple with number : if i have 900.000 i'll never spend more of 300.000 and keep 600.000 )
PS :
Currently i have All the Blessing in Grand Tour Campaign
(from nearly 2 week past)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1321576835
and have 36/40 in global Impact in Tier 3 for Tomb of Anihilation
( all others are Full = close to complete too )
One good things is that when you convert Event Favor to Torm/Kelemvor Favor at the end of an Event, the conversion is based on your total amount of Favor so it doesn't make a difference to that if you spent some on Blessings.
My total spent hovers between 5-8% of my total unspent.
Although this rule of thumb does make generally some sense to me, I object that sometimes I have found it useful to spend almost all of my favours at once to unlock some powerful blessings that helped me a lot through hardest event missions - namely Temporary worship, Legendary champions and Double damage.
So lets assume you farm some more favor, like the double than before, obtaining a new value of it. You can spend around 10% of this new value of favor into blessings, and you won't feel hurted by the decrease in favor. If the blessings you want are too expensive and require more than that 10% you can spare at that moment, just wait to raise it more.
I use 10% also because it's very easy and fast to figure out and to keep track of how much of it I already spent.
Double damage only raises your wall by 1 level, or roughly +25% gold find. So if you spent 15% to get there, 85% * 125% = 106.25%, for a net loss in gold/favor gained. It feels worth it because you can get farther, but you get less gold at your new higher wall, and you gained less gold on your way there, so you might need to grind for a few minutes just to hit your previous level.
