New support calculator
I programmed up a spreadsheet with all the damage boosting abilities that will incorporate your equipment so that one can check to see who is best comparitively but I noticed some odd maths happening from the spreadsheet and the way the game tells you abilities add up.

My initial guide used their totals but I am getting odd numbers and I am guessing that the spreadsheet should be the accurate one but I am inviting anyone to doublecheck the program to make sure it all makes sense and adds up right.

Otherwise enjoy the calculator. Might even get a separate spreadsheet to calculate DPS and damage per hit of everyone minus buffs to figure out top DPS options.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JyDqi3dKtpx7EYk1qoC6OABJ4y1YdP_UU4x3wGKoB6k/edit#gid=1384963511

Just copy the spreadsheet to add in your own numbers as need be.

Remains to be added
- New spreadsheet to calculate DPS of Champions before any buffs from allies. Need to research first.

Can't understood, that you calculate

example from my spreasheet:
http://prntscr.com/inzemm

left table for Celeste, right for Regis
orange cells - total multiplier at skill cap

I don't show all the individual skill levels except in the slots, instead I show how much effect you have if you spend under a certain gold amount to compare on similar terms since a spending 1e20 on Celeste gets you a far different level than a 1e20 Regis. If you can't max out such as during an event or challenge it lets you know comparitively from what you can afford.

Otherwise I used how much damage is multiplied rather than % boost. The math was easier and the numbers smaller than working in percentile.
Dunatis2000 Mar 11, 2018 @ 7:22pm
Fixed up where some of the numbers are multipled to prevent some edge cases before you get the ability and possible issues when there are low numbers so everything should be accurate adding in equipment values to abilities now. Also completed slots to add in values for how many are attacking Nayelli, Hammer stacks for Barrowin and modifiers for Tyril and Gromma depending on their targets or Champions around them.

According to this math the theoretical best support party is (With no equipment)

1. Regis - 221184x Multiplier
2. Dhadius - 186624x Multiplier
3. Nayelli - 55296x Multiplier
4. Bruenor - 41472x Multiplier
5. Barrowin - 6114x Multiplier (1179648x Multiplier with 2 Hammer Stacks)
6. Hitch - 864x Multiplier
7. Drizzt - 78x Multiplier (there are 2 Champions with Regis and Bruenor)
8. Zorbu - 54x Multiplier (216 if a Favored Enemy)
9. Asharra - 12x Multiplier
10. Stoki - 10.125x Multiplier

Assuming one of them is your DPS, which here would be Asharra so replace Hitch with Minsc for the possible boosts. Mostly the surprise to me is that Regis is far better than Celeste and makes Drizzt a rather decent buffer. Of course equipment will change this so play around and see how well it goes.

I will probably see about conditional formatting to make the numbers easier to read when they get super high. Just gotta figure out how here... I can see how to conditionally format for colors and fillvalues but not to go to scientific notation. If anyone can let me know how that would be great, otherwise you may have to adjust your own copy to whatever works best for you.

In the Numbers section of the Home tab in Excel, click the arrow in the corner to expand and see the scientific notation option.

I haven't had a chance to check out the spreadsheet yet, but I will hopefully be able to soon. Thanks for taking the effort! It surprises me to see Dhadius beating out Calliope with the new level cap increase, and to see Drizzt beating out Birdsong (who provides me over 20 times the DPS Drizzt does).
Dunatis2000 Mar 11, 2018 @ 11:06pm
I found that yeah, but there was no way to set it to only apply after hitting a certain value unfortunately which is what I was hoping for. So far my own doesn't go over more than a million or so as a multiplier and even then only a few people get that high. I did remove decimal points though for easier reading, that got messy fast.

A lot of the values after I threw in my equipment were a bit surprising but fairly similar, it all seems better balanced than I initially thought within slots, though between them it can be utterly ridiculous.

Next up I hope to use the system I made here to do pages for DPS to figure out who is the strongest DPS and maybe even throw in a calculator to combine the two for theory work and planning. Mainly to figure out the Favor farming optimization. Since gold find is equivalent to being further in areas there is some math to be done for equivalency and I can see if an extra 10 areas with better DPS out does using Makos and having +1300% Gold Find.

But that is all for down the road. Let me know if there is anything I can add that would make it more useful, making these kinds of spreadsheets is oddly fulfilling to me at times.

you numbers different from my
example:
1. Asharra give +600% to bonded champions w/o any gear. How you can get x12??? I think +600% = x7
2. Regis give +38400% to front/back column, +6300% to all and +225% to melee/magic/range
385*64*3.25=80080
What math you use for receiving 221184???

WHAT???
Calliope get +100% to Inspiration in new skills, while Dhadius get +0%
and, SUDDENLY, Dhadius became stronger???

That's where I am going to have to do some testing to be sure, Asharra gets a 100% boost, a 200% boost and a 100% boost which should be

100% = x2
200% = x3
100% = x2

2x3x2 = 12x multiplier vs

100% (x2 multiplier) x3 = 300% (x4 multiplier) x2 = 600% (x7 multiplier)

The question is does the 100% boost to the ability give a full 100% boost to the damage output of that character or just increase the ability numbers which admittedly is what it shows in your pane while each All Champions boost is entirely separate.

Today I am busy running around all day but will have to really delve into that. As it stands it will make a difference of less than x2 for everyone who has an Ability which will mean that they are all still comparitively rather accurate, just not necessarily the total numbers.
Rottenc Mar 12, 2018 @ 9:57am
so you even don't test spreadsheet and don't compare results to game?
lol
8-)

PS. 100% * 3 * 2 = 600%
Dunatis2000 Mar 12, 2018 @ 2:02pm
I tested the spreadsheet and was aware of the discrepency, and yes multiplying the base percentage gets you 600% but that doesn't give a straight percentile growth as I showed with my numbers. By that math it grows at odd multiplicative rates as opposed to straight damage growth, and while it can be that Abilities and All Damage grows differently I was more focused on completion at the time.

I've certainly seen that 2x discrepency in the numbers of others as well so the idea of multiplying the multiplier rather than the percentage isn't an alien concept, it just adds up in unexpected ways which is to have a 100% boost to an ability give you an effective 75% boost to damage instead of the 100% boost you would expect.

Either way while I am working out of town this week I may give it a detailed look to see how the game calculates it rather than what is said since there are a few options.
Rottenc Mar 12, 2018 @ 2:31pm
"unexpected"...
"few options"...

Asharra
lvl 1 = no skill = 1 dps
lvl 10 = bond +100% = 2 dps = 100% increase
lvl 140 = +200% to bond = bond +300% = 4 dps = 100% increase
lvl 265 = +100% to bond = bond +600% = 7 dps = 75% increase
epic gear = +275% to bond = bond +2250% = 23.5 dps = +235% increase
Dunatis2000 Mar 12, 2018 @ 4:02pm
I will then have to adjust the old calculations, thanks for the test.
Dunatis2000 Mar 22, 2018 @ 5:16pm
Took a while to get the time but the calculations have all been updated to use the proper multiplication system for Abilities since it is different than straight up All Damage boosts. And the updated rankings with no equipment are...

1. Dhadius - 124632x Multiplier
2. Regis - 80080x Multiplier
3. Nayelli - 27744x Multiplier
4. Bruenor - 20760x Multiplier
5. Barrowin - 3104x Multiplier (301088x Multiplier with 2 Hammer Stacks)
6. Hitch - 444x Multiplier
7. Birdsong - 68x Multiplier (Assuming just hit someone and with the right Alignment)
8. Zorbu - 30x Multiplier (90 if a Favored Enemy)
9. Asharra - 7x Multiplier
10. Stoki - 5x Multiplier

Minsc is better than Asharra (x8) if fighting his Favored enemy but that is too hit and miss. But not much has changed from my mistaken version. Mainly Dhadius is better than Regis and Birdsong is better than Drizzt.

Of course as always your own equipment will change things so feel free to test it out. I am entirely confident with all the numbers now and will keep things up to date as new content is released since the hard work is already done.
Dunatis2000 Mar 31, 2018 @ 4:44pm

10. Asharra - 7x Multiplier

Strix coming in and knocking out Stoki for top buffers, and being a top DPS is extra useful except of course Zorbu is still limited in targetting but that just means you can throw in Stoki as a gold and damage buffer anyways

Are all the slots updated for the increased levels? I tried checking Calliope (since it feels weird that Dhadius is better) and her inspiration wasnt the final upgrade in the spreadsheet.
