Hide if you play with Barrowin
Generally that work well
In that case use the decreased cooldown. Higher DPS. If you HAD Barrowin, Hide is better because the additional Blessing kicks in more or less every time.
Get to your wall with Barrowin in formation next to Strix, then just wait until he buffs her twice. Hit the swap button, switching him for a fully levelled up Tywin and you'll get a massive boost to your party's dps, which is then multiplied by Barrowin's hammer blessing.
At that point, you'll one-shot whatever boss you're stuck on. ;-)
With the addition of Poor Hygiene, the effect is more than a million times the DPS she has. And Polymorph staff does more damage if it morphs into longer attack-timer modes.
The only downside is her attacks are random. if she attacks the foremost enemies, she does tremendous damage. but this randomness can kill you in even easiest areas :)
edit: every other hero in the formation is to increase her DPS.
I pick panic in every other scenario (especially in shorter runs those with Tyril and/or where I want to use ultimates).
Tyril plus a familiar on the ultimates is not too shabby; I normally pick panic over hide. I have to admit that I farm gems at the moment and care less for pushing walls too far (not sure how much difference tyril + auto-ultimates is compared to barrowin; I'm surprised by the results compared to familiar-free runs to be honest)
I'm with Psylisa on this one. They wrote: "If you are using Strix as your main DPS, take the 4x damage boost from Anxious Fireballs. If you are using Strix as a Support, take Echoes of the Past's 3x damage boost. If you are using Strix to enhance click damage, take Smelly Lunch for a 2x boost. Smelly Lunch will probably see the least play with the change to Ultimate damage no longer double-dipping."
Thanks for this. Everywhere I looked for more info on Strix specializations it had all the old info. Had to dig deep to find this.
I only use the one for her attack power when needed for a patron challenge.
Occassionally, pick the death one if I use her and Spurt in the formation and need the extreme buff from may formation repeatedly dying.
