What was happening to you machine when you received the ban?

Are you ok?

You have 171 hours played and unlocked some achievements that are at 0,20% unlocking rate. You either used cheats in the game or used SAM. There is no way you got those with normal gameplay unless you spent a few hundreds if not thousands $ on crates and champions.

I feel bad for him, he wasn't aware enough that he was cheating and still goes as far as downgrading the game. God bless you.

Haha, has the hardest achievement in the game after 171 hours? Cheater got banned.

As the account locked message tells you, we ask that you email in for more information.
A while back when discussing things such as cheats or macros, an issue raised was why these would result in a ban since there is no competition between players. One possibility was that if the cheat/macro negatively affects the experience of other players (such as hammering the servers so hard that the game is glitched or the connection becomes unreliable for other people) then it might result in a ban.

But what is supposed to qualify as cheat? Bug abuse or some software?

What a shame.... he obviously cheated, and he even dares bashing the game for this.... some people can't accept the consequences of their ill actions.

As far as I know since I started playing this game, some people always said there were some kind of cheats / bug abusing but, like Milkman Dan kinda mentioned, it always looked like it wasnt a big deal.

I don't know nor care about the circumstances this time, plus I don't care for other people cheating in games like this one cause it doesnt affect me... if they wanna ruin their own fun it's their business I guess. I just hope that CNE will make it more clear in the future, even just a pinned post about "Stuff you shouldnt do"... you know, so people can't complain afterwards.

I also don't care about people cheating in a single player game, what bothers me is that the guy in question wrote a negative review to the game about this, stating that the game is super easy, making everyone appear like we are fools because we didn't take 100h like him to finish it, and that he has been banned because he finished the game super fast.
Negative reviews impact CNE more than cheating itself, especially those stating the false like in this case...

But this may be one more reason for them to finally reveal what is forbidden, as you said, idea that I also support.

So he trashes the game, says it's super easy and wants to play anyway? It's not easy when u don't cheat, my dear. Also it's not fair to CNE or the players who buy stuff to improve their games. I bought a couple of familiars, but I mostly play for free and I can't imagine how annoying is this kind of people for people who buy stuff regularly

I agree on the fact that a negative review like that is a ♥♥♥♥ move, I must admit I didnt notice... btw most people doesnt really care about reviews on Steam cause... well... THAT. :P But yeah, I agree.
Pimento Aug 16, 2019 @ 12:24pm
yeah - it's the review that's garbage. honestly, ive got almost 10k hours in, and I only finished end-game last month!

The reason it is a big deal for a person to cheat, even in this kind of game, is because the game isn't free. Yes, it can be played for free...obviously. BUT...the devs have to survive somehow...and they won't continue making content if they can't pay the bills. Cheating allows a person to bypass the reasonable difficulty curve in the game. And yes...I said reasonable...because this game's difficulty curve actually is reasonable. If you don't think so, then you clearly haven't played any other idle game ever created. Idle games are known for having such stupidly slow progression that they are no longer fun unless you start dumping larger and larger amounts of cash into them. And, because of that, I actually spend money on this game. I don't want the difficulty curve ramped up so high that it isn't reasonable to progress without spending money.

I guess the take-away is, cheating in a game like this is basically stealing from the devs.
