That way both Minsc and Hitch get the damage buffs.
Yup. Though, the game eventually devolves into 'buff this one DPS and who cares about the rest?" territory. In this case, well, it's early on enough that Hitch is still a decent DPS, so the fact that he doesn't buff Minsc isn't important. And, of course, Minsc is still a decent DPS even though he's not getting buffed by Hitch.
That being said...since hitch is not buffing Minsc, you *could* try Makos with dark blessing instead of Hitch. I guess that depends on which champion is actually getting buffed the most. If Hitch is the major DPS, then maybe swap in Asharra with human bond in place of Minsc?
Edit yea this working much better had to use old chars for me anyway.
Asharra Bruenor Nayeli
Celeste Hitch
Calliope
Hitch is about #3 on my dps list now but this definately working im hitting 150. good luck with yours.
I wondered if anyone has usefull hints for the Varja Safahr variant...
that means:
- only con14+ champions
- getting to lvl275
aka 3 champs for lvl261 and onwards.
That's exactly where I'm stuck. I tried Strixxx, Korth and Tyril (dmg, not tank), swapping Tyril for Evelyn, Arkhan or Nayeli (all far less dmg) , swapping Strixxx for virtually any accessable dmg-dealer, as well as swapping Korth for other supports.
Except Tiamat's tier3 all favors are maxed, and a good amount of patron perks are active, but still there is no killing a single enemy at lvl261 (even when using all 4 ultis - 4 because I briefly swapped Korth for Donaar to get some vomit out).
Help please,
Anda
p.s.: I also used medium potions for the last part. Since there is no dmg-output at lvl261, I'm not sure, if I want to spend bigger ones (already lost too many huge pots on similar occasions -- hardly ever successfully.
Cmon, just make a new post... nothing is the same in game.
You need to learn how to BUD spike for variants like this...otherwise, to do them with champions and favor alone means you're going to have to overpower it by quite a large amount for every formation slot you lose...and even then that has its limits depending on area goal/champion options etc...
Here's what you need to do....
You need:
Some kind of fire breath potion
Some amount of familiars
2 saved formations
Now, if you go back to area 1 (shift+click the blue arrow next to the area numbers) you will notice that you have all your formation slots available...BUILD A FULL FORMATION HERE...with the best you have available that produces the most amount of damage...DO NOT have any familiars on the field...once made, save that formation to the save slot 1 position
Save slots 1, 2, 3 correspond to Q, W, E keyboard shortcuts...
Now, go to the highest area you have reached and make another formation there with however many champions you have access to at that time...3 or 4 or 5 or however many you can place....BUT...this time place familiars on the field...and save that formation to slot 2 position.
OK, so now that's set you're ready to go...go back to area 1, pop a fire breath potion, load in your first formation (make sure no familiars are loaded) and let the champions hit something and set a high BUD...THEN turn ON auto-progress and jump forward to the highest area you are currently at....on the way, load in your second formation....as you land your familiars should now start to kill everything instantly with fire breath....do that until your BUD declines and you stop killing...when that happens go back to area 1 and repeat...spike bud, jump forward etc...repeat until the end.
