Dragondown - Best Misc specialization?

Which specialization is best for Misc during the Dragondown missions? I'm kind of torn between beasts and humanoids. Which of those, if either, is best?

((bonus question: what happens if I open a chest for a character I don't have?))

Depends a little on around where your limit would be. The bosses in the early and middle stages of the adventure are mostly humanoid, the late part is rather beasts (with the final boss working far better with several heroes beyond the armor limit). Try to figure out, on which you get stuck.

The bonus question is easier to answer: The game will remember which items for unowned heroes you have and you will have them upon getting the character.

Of course if you are talking about cases like the weekend chests where there are multiple possible characters to get items for as long as you have any of them you won't get any items for the ones you don't have yet.
