What are you spending your Patron money on?

So, debating what to spend my Patron bucks on.... not sure what the better buy is:

1) If I buy time gate pieces, it yields me 2 gold specific event champion chests. The cost is 15k
2) If I buy 3 Patron chests, it yields me 3 gold patron chests, and these can give me epics for a bigger pool of event champions, but not specifics. I assume these work like other gold chests, meaning I'll get an epic needed every 10 chests.

Do you think it's better to buy the time gate piece, and then get chests (all the while saving for shiny potions) or do you think just focus on PAtron chests?

Thoughts?

I would buy the chests because time gate pieces drop by playing and we have a free time gate every 3 weeks

I guess I'll kinda save some Patron currency till I have enough for the feats exclusive to the Patron shops while I get the needed influence, than I'll spend any extra on patron chests. I'm fine with the time gates I can do already and potions... meh. I mean maybe for newer players are good but...

I'm curious if we can get Patron currency from time gates/ events free plays too.

They are already so rare from common gold chests lol, I actually don't even care - nor know - if we can get feats from Patron chests. If we can, better.

They've said that feats are from normal gold chests only, I would assume that hasn't changed with patron chests.

The patron faq says they can't be used in event campaign or timegates.

I'm letting my currency pile up until I have enough (along with the minimum required influence) to purchase a potion of polish. Otherwise, the time gate pieces look very tempting since, even though they drop from bosses, there is a cooldown that limits how often you get them.

I will buy a Time Gate piece each time it is available and save for Qillek and Spurts feats. Then I am done with Mirt except to get the next available Time Gate piece.

Over on the Vajra side I'll be doing the same, but other than Time Gate pieces, I am only interested in the Paultin feat.

Each time I have used Potion of Polish in the past it has given the Shiny to a champion I never use, so I don't think I'll waste coins on those.

The best value is the Time Gate pieces, because they are 100% targeted chests. The Patron chests are the next best value, but they are extremely random; you can get 3 good event champion pieces, or none at all (yay for 2 pieces of Delina gear!)

Potions of Polish are unique / one time ever rewards - so yes, do get them. Even if you don't use the champion today, you might use them tomorrow especially with these increased variant requirements we have now.

All I can spend them on are chests, atm not strong enough to complete the missions to get inflience with them, but can get the currency via freeplays :)

Bazzakrak, since you were able to unlock the patrons you also should be strong enough to complete easier missions (check for example were-verpowered, mad cow disease (torm) or dinosaur racing (ToA; probably the easiest).

I will only spend money on timegate pieces (only got 27 heroes) and save the rest for future feats and potions of polish. Should my ruby coin reserve ever exceed ~70k i would consider buying patron chests.

Except some of these variants (where you lose almost all champ positions as you progress) are practically impossible due to the roster limitations.

I'll be curious to hear when and see how some people are eventually able to clear 100%.

Then potion of polish, oh shiny!

Then the epic feats for champs I use

hard to tell WHEN it will come, since we're waiting for other announced content for over a year
anyway, picking TG pieces might not be the worst idea
every 2 weeks you'd be able to pick 1 chest (since you will get 5k each week, but spend 2500 on pizza)
other than TG piece - yes, only chests
I don't see a point in purchasing potions

P.S.
I am not counting the unique items. I think you can pick every single unique item, just to collect them all, or skip those you know that you don't want. If you'll complete all variants, you should have enough currency to purchase these items (or go for chests).

can you have more than 6 time gate pieces in your inventory? I never tried since it is listed as 6/6 for example
