Story cannot be done with co-op. Any area from SBC Glocken, Remnant WasteLand to White Frontier/ the abyss, basically any map you come across in story mode will not be available for multiplayer except some boss room.

Co-op is like a separate mode on its own and futher segregated into Normal and Hardcore. Normal mode is boss fight right off the bat with 8 players(4 NPCs). Hardcore is small dungeons with either boss rush or mobs clearing to last boss.

And last but not least. Horrible P2P connection.
