Can't open the game

Tries this repeatedly now - clicking play begins a process and Steam says its playing, but the game doesn't actually start. I have to force close Steam to try and relaunch - and that doesn't stop the existing process. Can someone please help?

Update - when trying to restart my computer, I was met with an 'anti cheat violation' message. Since I hadn't actually started the game, know this has mutliplayer and had been playing no other games with online multiplayer today, could this be the issue?

you may have to wait for it, it takes a few minutes to actually fire up for me. Just keep an eye on task manager and see that it doesn't go non-responsive for too long.

You need wait for a bit, because the game scanning your PC, such as checking GPU Software Version, and will pop up notification if happen to be outdated.
Still can play it anyway even if outdated based on my experience. (Radeon Software ver.8 lol)
