Is there any way to do this or is it still not a thing?

You can't change their accessories but you can exchange the memory chips. To unlock memory chips exchanging option, buy it at Argo, you can also change their weapon memory chips as well.

-Expect some NPC clothes you can change if you friendly them enough but, none else accessories items you can't change.

It should similar to the accessory machine where you transform accessories. Just remember that exchange accessories don’t take away the accessories like weapons. You need to do it the same way like editing outfits and weapon transform. Mostly, if you have a max accessory that you don’t use anymore, gave them to the NPCs that you usually use in combat(it affect their online stat as well).
For better, just give them accessories with Rare Drop increase, Item Drop, Avoid Instant Death, and Experiences. Those chips stack up as you brought them to battle with you. And depend on character want to play like DPS, Tank, or Support...
*Build up these before next update will benefit a lot since it will be a one shot thing like currently endgame missions. (Remind that support role build up medal gauge faster than others due to the support medal you can get from healing and buffs plus medal gauge chips. Use it to do solo contents and rankings)

No they don't stack at all (online or offline), only you and your Arfa-sys both could benefit from experiences chips but not for the rest. Rare drop, drop rate up only affect on the person who land the final shot and and only count for how much LUC, drop rate, rare drop increase they currently have but not others.

Did you test it? I’m sure that’s what I’m doing right now. It’s from dlc2 where you try to farm Bluerose especially for legendary drops. LCK doesn’t give you rare drop if it’s at 0%, only item drops which are accessories only. Is it by chance that how you getting different drop between on ur ArFAsys and friends?
If you play previous updates dlc1, dlc2, you probably run into a place where the game only give low drops for legendary like Begeuse 3 which ppl hardly get at that time. They don’t make ur NPCs just stand there and watch you fighting and doing your own stuff. It’s a long story thing... but I’ve never said that you will get a guaranteed legendary stuff for an RNG thing like crit. Beside ur AI can fight as well...

Ok, I'm waiting for your result. Blue Rose is in DLC 3 btw

i've done a test on my Arfa-sys and myself.

Tested on drones in demon cave spawned by the enemy caller, my party has:
Asuna 255 luck(no accessories chips)
My Arfa-sys 255 luck, 71.6% drop rate increase, 14.9% rare drop rate from his accessories. Mine also 225 luck 74% drop rate increase, 14.9 % rare drop rate from accessories.
Party command: no attack.

1st test(only i have accessories):
100 kills but 51 drops: 5 legendaries, 11 epics, 6 rares, 19 uncommons, 10 commons.

2nd test( me and my arfa-sys both have accessories):
100 kills but 45 drops: 6 legendaries, 9 epics, 13 rares, 10 uncommons, 7 commons

Asuna i'll put on her later, also will test with member has low luck and update this post when done.

So it's safe to say drop rate doesn't stack at all on you and your arfa-sys and other member we will see later but i'd guess it also don't work on them.

Rare drop rate idk but you're testing it so i'll wait.

Update:

Third test (me with my accessories, Premiere 255 luck, Strea 255 luck, Philia 255 luck):
100 kills but only 37 drops: 2 legendaries, 5 epics, 11 rares, 17 uncommons, 2 commons.

Fourth test (me with my accessories, Itsuki 87 luck, sachi 87 luck, kirito 86 luck):
100 kills but only 31 drops: 5 legendaries, 2 epics, 12 rares, 10 uncommon, 2 commons.

Fifth test (me with my accessories, arfa-sys with his accessories, asuna, silica both with rare drop up so the total rare drop up is 59.6% bonus 29.8% compared to 2nd test):
100 kills but 49 drops: 11 legendaries, 8 epics, 12 rares, 15 uncommons, 3 commons.

After all of these i think your arfa-sys luck does affect your drop rate while drop rate bonus on him doesn't work or maybe capped when you already have high luck and also with other member but about the rare drops increase i actually did a similar test to the Fifth but his luck only at 71 and got 5 legendaries, 51 drops out of 100.

100 kills maybe not enough. Maybe 500'd prove the RNG but that take time. Now i'm uncertain if rare drop stack, drop rate stack or if any other aspect that affect item drop. Does your drop rate have a cap? This game confuse me so much because it doesn't give exact numbers most of the thing and all you can do is test with RNG and that'd take ages.

Anyway until i'm willing to do a 500 kills for each test you maybe wrong or right but i hope they does stack and no cap on drop rate.

I know that each weapon has a different drop rate for them like critical rate on weapons. The more weapons they have on a single enemy will the lower chance you get a new one (it’s often repeat of what you get in ten times run)
Still that’s a high drop numbers than without party members and chips.
For something like Bluerose, Moonlight, or Holy arrow, you get them drop more often legendary than without LCK and chips.
Item drop and LCK increase the chance with a max weapon capped at 50% while accessories capped on 100%
Rare drop got from 1%-15% chances base on weapon rarity (rarest). It’s just a quality cap, having no related to item drop rate. Additional, dungeons give you 5% more compare to running on the field.

There actually a website that have the drop formula but not tell you how practical they actually do

I know from experience that at the very least, Experience chips 100% do stack on- and off-line when put on the non Arfa-Sys NPCs
