Unless you dual wield sword there's no reason to. Even then a single one handed pistol would be horrible at DPS.
If people want Sword memory chips there are already good options so they should get these 5 as a must have.
Weapon Attack
Damage at Max HP
Damage From Behind
Damage vs. Mechs
Damage vs. Lifeforms
These other 5 are also good options for the remaining 3 slots.
Physical Attack (For Dual Orbital and to make your single handgun not suck as much)
Debuff Stacking (Super good with knives and stun mine on a high INT sword build. More viable with Raikiri due to more stats. Still good otherwise.)
Damage When Near Death
Critical Damage (really good choice unless you use Raikiri)
Critical Rate (really good choice unless you use Raikiri)
Critical Damage and Critical Rate are pointless on the Raikiri so they may as well get
Physical Attack
Debuff Stacking
Damage When Near Death for the final 3 slots.
Raikiri is the best sword anyway. Assuming they have DLC 4.
