Just curios. Is there any human being that can play this game by using a gamepad effectively? Without auto aiming of course.

i use both gamepad (dualshock4) and keyboard+mouse

for combat i tried it a few times and can play the game with a ps4 controller (via steam) at the bare minimum like if it's just regular mobs as long as i keep a fair distance away and pick off stuff one by one it's doable but it takes like 2 to 3x longer for me that way compared to using keyboard+mouse and you may have to adjust the camera sensitivity for using a gamepad for aiming manually.

for crowded places or boss fights or fast moving enemies with very small weak points i'd rather use the keyboard and mouse.

i mostly use a gamepad for the non combat stuff like running around town and doing the visual novel parts of the game

I play it with a steam controller and it's perfectly fine... but does that count?

For me its realy hard to aim with sticks.
