why is the rank 10 Ameno Murakumo g9 better then the dojikiri Yasutsuna F9 Kai

once i apply a weapon attack on both the rank 10 is always better

Weapon Attack won't effect which one is better.

Weapon A has 1,000 base
Weapon B has 1,100 base
Therefore Weapon B is 10% stronger than Weapon A.

Apply 20% Weapon Attack to both then
Weapon A has 1,200
Weapon B has 1,320
Weapon B is still 10% stronger than Weapon A

What changes is the hidden DPS you gain overall by your DEX, LUC, and the Crit Damage and Crit Rate memory chips.


Which one is better all straight up depends on your stat investment and memory chips. The Dex Beam swords pretty much require glass cannon or some sort of heavy stat investment to actually be better than the STR beam swords.

If you don't care much about looks then the Fragarach is always the best one to go for.

Otherwise with a tiny DEX and no LUC investment then the Ameno will be better than the Dojikiri types. Also we got Rank 11 next patch anyway. So that Ameno will just be even more better.

When compared at the same rank, the higher DEX requirement beam swords have always been worse. They are probably more meant as an optional secondary for low STR gunners or whatever I guess?

New patch and DLC is 19 days away. So I wouldn't worry too much right now because your choices are going to change with the bigger selection of Rank 11 we will have. The Dojikiri got screwed last patch out of all the Rank 11 (but not as screwed as the Breakthrough was). We still have hope for 3 other Rank 11 swords to be very good.

And the new DLC sword.

So the Rank 11 Dojikiri might become worthless. Noone knows what will happen but you never know if the DLC Sword becomes the new HMG Bravefire lol. But I doubt it.

Also next patch the weapons will display the base crit rate and crit damage.

i made a good break though but i wish the amoo capqacity could be like 3-5 rounds

Ammo capacity: +69.6% ( hard cap start at 50%)
Breakthrough has a 1 round in chamber (no clip) evan with a max amo compacity it will never be anything more then a 1 shot

With my set up on the Breakthrough it works really well with 1 bullet. I have lots of reload speed for when Auto-Reload doesn't work and it destroys things really fast. It doesn't need more ammo. What it needs is more damage on the Rank 11 version because right now it's really weak in comparison. Especially compared to the HMG Bravefire 4 which is pretty much just as heavy and also uses a lot of STR. Sniper Rifles are meant to be rewarding on Weak Spots to make them worth it but right now at Rank 11 it's very bad because it's the same as Rank 10...

Lot's of weapons received 2-4 times more damage at Rank 11 and that's where most of the issue is. Really not a single weapon should've becomes over 100% stronger. And at least 20% stronger on things already good.

At Rank 11 the average Breakthrough gained about 5% which is nothing compared to other weapons gaining 200-400% which is why the balance is screwed and will probably only get worse next DLC. Because they will never buff it. Because they don't ever change a weapons base damage. So RIP Sniper Rifles and swords.
