yes you shoudl get it. It doesnt matter if you like the anime or not, the game in general is good. It's a third person shooter, except with much more action. You can't sit still in this game. If you do, you're basically dead. Like Sun said, this game isnt really in the pvp mode yet. you might be able to find some co op lobbies, but not pvp.
The AI is some of the worst I have seen and could use some more work, and some enemies are ridiculously OP(If you see the "Honeycomb Maker" just don't even bother with that dotard enemy unless you vastly outlevel it) : but overall this game in battle feels a bit like Mass Effect with more fast pacing and anime characters, more dynamic action, bit less story(i'm not really in to anime-let's be friends story, so take my opinion on the story with some grain of salt). Hell the automaton enemies even look a bit like an offspring between Geth and Battle Droids.
Now the other player said that the game has much action and you can't sit still. I kind of disagree. While there is much more action, I tend to use cover alot and trust me, this is important unless you are really good at dodging or going full tank. You still need to maneuver alot between several covers since some enemies will just charge in and force you out of the cover, but that's the fun of it.
From what I know there will be a massive update on January, and so far the game does have enough contents for single player enjoyment. There are some coop and pvp, but do not expect too much from them. Hopefully the next update will add some coop options.
If you are going to play this game, I strongly recommend doing your first playthrough quickly and playing on extreme with NG. It makes the enemies stronger, but also adds more enemies and some of them will be far more aggressive than in normal level. Much more enjoyable if hordes of enemies actually try to charge your position.
Doing Good Ending on NG not plus but, i cant wait to do NG+ more enemies more fun...YAHHH
The affinity is easier to rank up on NG then NG+ ill read all the green dialogue when i hit NG+
