So I decided to do the painful thing of testing LUC and Crit Rate...
There is no solid evidence anywhere that I can find that has any good testing. So what better way to find out than try make my own good sample size test by firing....... 10,000 bullets... twice... someone's gotta do it and we need information on this stat. Especially after how long the game's been out it's about time we knew how much LUC does effect Crit Chance %.

First thing to do was to pick a good weapon and according to the Weapon Drop Guide on the public google document, the SPB Night Sky MK3 has 10% crit rate. Sounds good to me. Not too high, a nice number, and good fire rate for testing with Dual Wield.

So I put on 1 LUC and fired 10,000 bullets and found that 1,148 of them crit. That's 11.48%. It may or may not be more accurate than the 10%. But this is a random chance thing we are talking about. But let's roll with that number I got from firing.

So I done it again with 255 LUC and this time 1,966 crits landed. 19.66%

That's an overal increase of 71%

Now you could assume that this is how much 254 extra LUC increases Crit Chance of the weapon. But remember this is a random stat. But what we do have information on is how much DEX effects Crit Damage.
Which is
1+DEX/400.

At 255 DEX that's *1.6375. I ended up getting a value of *1.7125 with LUC which really is only around 4.5% higher than the value used for DEX. I say that sounds pretty reasonable for a random chance stat.

So I believe they used the same calculation for Crit Rate as they did for Crit Damage.

LUC would be a pretty good alternative to DEX for swords as it even gives a small increase in DEF. Probably keep DEX and LUC equal for Swords as you get more out of the CP spread and since swords aren't really good at hitting weak spots anyway which is the main benefit from DEX.

So for those 2 people actually reading this thread... (probably An and another random >_>) I have a google document as a calculator you can use to calculate DPS and stuff. It now includes almost everything you may want to find out for comparing weapons, with memory chips, DEX and now LUC. And if you think it's worth increasing LUC for your set up. It's all calculated. :Uni:

i'm glad that you find it fun in calcutaing stuff in the game. I'm not that type and it's impossible for me to attack and calculate enemies hp , crit chance, crit damage, weakspot damage, attack speed, rate of fire... at same time. Attacking without knowing how much dps i have or hp they have is fun for me, all i need to know is make my weapons stronger with everything that help with dps and go killing...

Hay, thanks OP for putting in the time and effort. Know that it does not vanish into nothing. This matters, especially to someone just starting out, understanding the details (for me at least) helps me to make informed decisions.:raven:

Another random, checking in.

Always nice to see people doing the math.
