AMRs have very high physical power and low firerate small mags. What u can get at the beginning is the Coldblood, and then AMRTiamat from god pet, witch is actually the hecate from Shinon in the Anime, other AMRs are linke AMRDeathWind and AMRTiamatMk2 which u can get from Extreme diffculty.
As for memory chips, the best is always leggy (green weapons), and what u need are:
- dmg humanoids
- dmg mechine
- dmg lifeforms
- dmg weakpoint
- physical dmg
- weapon dmg
- critical rate
- critical dmg
the best one is that theres only 1 or no race specific chips are lockt (humanoids, machine, lifeforms, only one or less of them could be locket)
so if u ask to judge weather your sniper is good, honestly its not even usable as sniper...
Coldblood can be dropped from the robot snipers in the first map, or u can buy one from the weapon store(without memory chips), or if u have many money, even buy a good yellow one from black market
Godpet is a must kill boss in your storyline, it drops AMRTiamat at normal or easy diffculty and AMRTiamatMk2 at extrem.
AMRDeathWind are dropped from Genbu at Extreme difficulty( dont know if the name are correct), the entrance for this boss is also in the first map, but it will keep locket until u cleared the game at least one time
AMRAssassin also dropped from Genbu when u challenge it at normal or easy.
other AMRs are too bad or not easy to get, some of them are better than coldblood but worser than tiamat, but when u have chance to get them, u must already have tiamat
So, your aim is simply get firstly a good (blue, yellow or if u are lucky , green) coldblood, enchance it to ++ (Weapon level 3) and stick with it until god pet. Farm god pet to get a good tiamat (yellow or green), enchance it and use it to clear the game, then change diff into extrem, get a not that bad TiamatMk2 (yellow should be enough) and go farm Genbu for the best Sniper in the game-- AMRDeathWind---, stay there until u get a good green DW, (at least it should contain 4 of the properties i have annount above and other 4 are changeable)..
Then if u like Shinon, go and farm a ARMTiamatMk2 with the best properties
Or..
The AMR Tiamat MK2 (Extreme difficulty) or AMR Tiamat (Normal difficulty) which is dropped by the Gospet boss at the Abandoned Road dungeon in the Old South.
Pick the one you want and farm the boss until you get a Legendary version of it with some decent memory chips (Like Aqua said)! I would recommend the AMR Assassin/Deathwind as it's a quicker farm and in my opinion is the better sniper, but that's just opinion :)
The Tiamat MK2 being a heavy, hardest hitting on a non-crit dropping from Ghospet in Abandoned Road Depths.
The AMR Deathwind being a lighter, almost as hard hitting in terms of raw damage but with 25% better crit damage dropped from Concealed Genbu at the Sea Watchtower (both Extreme but you can also get the Normal versions being the Tiamat/Assassin)
As mentioned above you'll want:
- Damage Vs Mechs/Humanoids/Lifeforms
- Weakpoint
- Weapon Damage
- Physical Damage (to stack with weapon damage)
- Crit Damage
- Crit Rate
- And some argument can be made at least in terms of Solo or Co-op dropping Damage vs Humanoid and replacing it with Damage at Max HP to get a further boost in burst damage (but this one is up to you).
Any other chips don't do sniper rifles any benefit.
