Metamaterial Cloak Gadget Useless?
Does the Metamaterial cloak you get from beating Kirito mode actually do anything? Enemies still have no issue finding me when I have it activated, so is it truely just a useless gimic?

PvP is where its useful.

It's useful in PvE as much as Conceal skill, until you shoot - you're invisible, but if you get close to enemies they're obviously will detect you. Also need to mention that debuffs will reveal your position, because of "negative aura" I think.

Also, once an enemy knows where you are, cloaking isn't useful until you deaggro.

We did some testing on the Reddit Discord and found that the first bullet out of Metamaterial was giving increased damage. Then again, I'm still uncertain if it was because I had Damage off Guard (DoG) memory chips on my gun because we couldn't get DoG to proc at all in PvP. So maybe Metamaterial allowed the memory chip to proc, or maybe Metamaterial actually does work as I mentioned in the first sentence. I'm still not 100% sure yet.

It is mostly used in PvP. Anyone who has any idea of what they are doing in PvP is going to have this gadget on their build 100% of the time. Auto-Aim is disabled while a player is cloaked unless the anti-stealth skill is used by a player. Metamaterial is a fantastic skill for sneaking up on another player and to use as a quick get-away if you're about to get killed.

It has never worked against me if I care because of my ability, but it will definitely work against most people. (You'll probably have some trouble if you tried to use it on top tier players though).

I personally barely use it unless I'm being spawncamped hard (unfortunately, lag exists, especially in a P2P connection and hosts have a huge advantage, such as putting the numbers in their favor).

In all honesty though, I don't like PvP. I don't really like upsetting people and that is what happens when I PvP.

Earlier, it was 3v1 and I was ok with that. They get their win, I get some mapping done for my guide... Well, I was taking screenshots to make a map of the PvP area and someone on their team had the bright idea of attacking me and killing me while I was taking screenshots during a rather difficult maneuver.

I was slightly annoyed and decided to fight back a little just to troll them. They haven't remained in any room I'm in since (unsure if coincidence). And that was with me just playfully fighting back without using camo. And I felt bad for doing it.

That said, the increased damage would almost certainly have been from the damage off guard. The Damage off guard is very hard to use in PvP because of the 'off guard' portion.

Experienced players and players who have abilities similar to mine (I think someone else said the ability I used was basically the same thing as Yomi) won't be affected as much by camo though.

Lol, we are on the same side (on the Light side or something like that). :D:

No, clearly we are the Dark side. Only 'good' people like upsetting others.
