Weapon attack/ Physical attack on swords?
so this is wierd , both these stats work on guns , when you add them with chips you see the weapon's actuall power go up , but i tested on a sword and i only see the weapon's power go up from weapon Attack only, physical Attack dosent add anything?

Physical attack on a sword will only apply to the pistol during Sword + Gun.

Swords fall under Melee damage
not sure if physical attack affects the gun in gun+sword mode but still the damage is pretty much non exsistance

There is is no Melee Power chip, Thanatos is just explaining that it has its own category of damage output.

You do see 'defense against melee damage' as chips on some accessories; I assume that would help against enemies like Hooligans and such that like to claw your face rather than shoot you. Dunno if it also reduces damage from photon swords, but could probably test it in a private pvp match easily enough, or by taking on one of the sword-wielding facsimiles.

hmm also , when stacking stats from chips , i noticed each stat has a limit , at least thats what i thought , like weapon Attack and physical Attack both stop at 14.30% on my gun , but this Swords stops at 10.80 with weapon Attack. is it because its not each stat has its own limit but each weapon can only go so far with a stat? like my gun stops at 14.30 but my sword can only do 10.80?

The cap on chips is due to Liz's shop level. In Easy and Normal mode she caps out at lvl 4. She can still upgrade weapons to higher ranks, but there's a limit to how much she can improve the chips.

You can unlock higher levels for her (up to 7, I think) by completing certain quests on NG+ in Extreme mode. I think (don't quote me on this) that she gains a new level every time you access a new area, starting with Solitary Sands, so that by the time you reach Forgotten Woods she will be at level 7.

There's no melee damage chip for the swords but the swords do have its own exclusive chip. Damage from behind only works with sword.

abit confused here,i never knew her shop had a level , where can i see her shop level? or did you mean she lets you get to rank4 on a weapon? but thats not true coz all you need to enhance is the materials. so basically the higher her shop level the higher you can upgrade your chip stats? got it.
