AMR Deathwind Best Sniper?

I've seen a few vids about the AMR deathwind being the best sniper, why? I have an AMR Tiamat MK2+ that isn't the best, but I prefer it over the Deathwind. Is this just personal preference or is there an actual reason?

I personally like the Tiamat MK2+ much more cause of the strong shoot sound :)
It also has more range and more ammo capacity.
But yeah it is also very heavy so you have to decide.
My second weapon is a longstroke handgun so thats totally fine for me

I agree, personal decision. Both can hit the damage cap. Deathwind weighs less, Tiamat has a bigger magazine and by that higher dps before traits.

You need to play NG+ on extreme mode to unlock Weapon Smith Level 7 for Elisbeth to upgrade your stats to the max

ABOUT NEW GAME PLUS


When you clear the Story Mode, you are faced with an option to start the game over from the beginning. Doing so will allow you to restart the story and keep your weapons, equipment, material, experience and proficiency. But it will also reset your Friendship Affection level and make it so you have to unlock Dual Arms and Gun+Sword again.

If you chose not to restart the story, the game will take you to a few quests before the final fight with everything intact. From here, you can work on affection, see all the side events and reach the true end. You can also reach the Trophies/Achievements for clearing the game on Extreme Mode without having to start a whole new game.

It was recently revealed that you need to do a New Game Plus on Extreme Mode to make Liz’ Smithy Lv7. This is a hell of a reason to do a New Game Plus as she can’t work on Rank 4+ weapons otherwise. Kind of a poor way to get you to play through the game again but its worth it.

So u basically have to restart the game in extream mode,clearing your player data and all your current inventory in order to unlock Liz'Smithy Lv7 ?

You inventory, outfits, weapons,stats etc.. will NOT be cleared.
ONLY Friendship Affection and Dual Arms/Gun+Swords.
But yes you need to restart the game and play on extreme for Weapon Smith Level 7 Elisbeth

back to topic. in terms of raw damage the AMR Tiamat mk2 actually surpasses the AMR Deathwind once you upgrade it to rank 7. The only reason people still argue the deathwind has higher damage because they keep bringing up the google doc and never figure out the Tiamat mk2 is rank 6 on the spreadsheet which is why it shows as having less damage than the deathwind.

It's still personal preference but if anybody tells you the Deathwind has a higher damage output they're wrong

I literally just upgraded a weapon from rank 4 to rank 5 at Lisbeth's shop; normal mode, haven't even cleared the game with a 'bad' ending yet, let alone rewound time, started a NG+, or unlocked extreme difficulty. Her shop does still say 'Lvl. 4' in the top right, but I'm thinking that isn't directly tied to the level of weapons you can upgrade.

You have to only beat key bosses on Extreme to Lv up Liz' Blacksmith. The rest of the game can be played on Easy.

To Lv5: Solitary Lands Quest, final boss that opens up Second Area.

To Lv6: Old South Quest, Boss that opens up Third Area.

To Lv7: Squadron Quest, PvP boss against 4 teammates AND watching all cutscenses and events that follow.

i can say that my liz is STILL at lvl 4 and im on my rewind on ng+ on extreme sooooooo
