flying mechs so op!

so the flying mechs in the third area is just BALANCED, i've been to the flugel now and need to get some cards to get further so i need to go to the dungeon at the outskirts of the third map and those mecs still one shots me dammit xD

yeah the flying mechs are annoying. as i was heading to get a card from the dungeon in the northeast corner of the Old South map I spot 2 so i get my tiamat and try and shoot 1 of them and suddenly another 2 pop up and I'm now dealing with four of them. Luckily i stil manage to kill them since my arfa-sys immediately AED shot me(for once).
If you're still having trouble, I recommend respecing so you have 30+ Vit, you'll survive at least one shot with that. Also use the Electrodynamic stunner skill, it can take several shots but it gets you a couple seconds to ram in as many weak spot shots you can get which means they're as good as dead.

Use auto aim for sustained damage then as soon as you see an opening manually shoot the wings or head

You can't dodge the lasers attacks no matter what. Even the laser from the Mazinger Z ones (The gigant mechs from Pacific Rim lol) Or you run like 5 seconds before he target u or you're dead.

IIRC, there were statements about the framerate affecting some higher end enemies with lasers.
Making them impossible to avoid unless you used the iframes...

so i found a named mech in solitary sands who was red, and it made a 5 laser beam attack that just insta killed my whole team lol xD

If you're playing at 60fps & don't wanna play at 30fps then here's something to make like a tad more easy.

Set the game to 30fps in the options then set the framerate to 60fps in the GameUserSettings.ini (AppData\Local\SAOFB\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor) add FrameRateLimit=60.0 & set as Read Only

Yup that is what I did as well as hitting them with blaze and poison

My problems with them are that they LOVE to hover directly above you, and since you can't look all the way up (or down) in this game, you can't target or even see the damned things... T_T

And that's the issue since the game was launch, they fly away from your view before you can lock on them (Assuming you use a controller like I do)
They will always have better view than we do since they alway hover over our heads for easy kills, unless you find some good cover.
The flying mechs are one of the worst mobs to face against for players who have meet them for the first time.

LOL I just came on here to post that exact same thing its utter BS I spend more time fighting with the camera than I do with the mechs.

thats the honeycomb maker field boss. hes one of the hardest bosses in the game. really the best thing to have on you before you fight him is an accessory that gives you "avoid death with X hp % and up" and you want that precent as low as possible. once you have that for you and a equal to good one for your afas then you can fight him with ease as he cant one shot you anymore.

also i would recommend getting the taunt skill and keep him focused on you and just bring healing AI to keep you alive. during that fight you AI really dont fight against him as he moves way to much and one shots anyone without the avoid death item.
