Is there a downside to dual wielding?
It feels like there's a downside to dual wielding, i didn't notice it when i was dual wielding my Lupus 3 cause its 3 round burst but when i dual wield my pistol the aiming seems a bit... off? I'm trying out pistols since i've had my Miasma Fang just sitting in my inventory and the aiming seems a bit bad when dual wielding it :P

Dual wielded Miasma Fangs have a high rate of fire so it could just be that, stick a stabilization speed chip on it. Otherwise it's a great gun and i managed to get proficiency up by 500 in 2 days wth it.

to actually answer your question i was wondering this too so i did some play testing, so far there is no downside except the higher stat requirements, some may argue that the bullet circle destabilises faster but it's not really that noticeable, however one thing does change a little, but i only noticed it on PS4, when you're aiming manually (ie ADSing) the aim will jump around a little more while dual wielding, you probably wouldn't notice tho as you're obviously playing on PC but in case you're wondering this mainly affects dual wielding semi-a shotguns and all auto weapons

Can you actually aim while dual wielding guns? :wat_creep:

I think the only downside of dual wielding is just a lower accuracy for a higher fire rate. I only used assault rifles and my accuracy without manual aim was off the charts altough i expected that much. I assume its probably the same with other weapons as well.

to make it really mess up your weapon is dual weilding LMG that has largest ammo (its way better then the gatling gun), if you want accurcy add the bullet stable and accurcy then increase the mag rounds. I had about around 600 round in lmg and its way too op. It was hard getting legendary, but it works.

yeah full auto weapons are the best for dual wielding, LMG variants of the AR are awesome but for AGI players like myself dual SMGs or Dual auto pistols (if using something big in primary like a sniper) is also pretty powerful, sometimes I go for dual launchers just to sew chaos, the only guns that didn't seem worth dual wielding were pump shotguns as they're extremely inaccurate in assist mode and semi auto weapons as (and please correct me if i'm wrong) they seemed just as slow fire rate wise

I didn't see any to be honest. Except for using a sword with a pistol.

Dual P90 is EVEN better than a single one, no accuracy drawbacks or things like that, maybe each weapon have it's own characteristics?

My only gripe with dual-wield is that they never bothered to add dual-wielding
for swords and I don't mean dual-wield gun & sword...I mean dual-wield 2 swords.

for example: press X on the controller to dual-wield gun & sword, but press Y
on the controller to dual-wield 2 swords; on in each hand. they made it happen
for the guns; pistols, shotguns, smgs, rifle, gatling guns & launchers...why can't
we have a sword in each hand? just to give the player and Kirito that SAO vibe.

To paraphrase some older info:

- Chips apply to one weapon only. Second weapon not affected by chips.
- Dual wielding isn't double damage. (it's more like +50% instead of +100%)
- Damage increase at expense of double ammo consumption.

Just trading efficiency for a damage increase. t's not a bad thing since you've got tons of ammo already.

Fun fact for pistol dual weilding. It does not double ur shots for the quick shot skills xD

Is what make you think:

If your weapon don't have any damage increase memory chips, the second weapon from dual wield has 95% of the damage so, it's 95% increase.

I've discussed about this long time ago. Back when DLC 2 just released.

It should be fun with another skills category for double sword with new set of skills and the weapon art make you go berserk.

I'm still hoping for them to add Melee Attack Power and Melee Attack Speed Chips though.
