Memory Chip question.
So just for clarity, the memory chip slot with the yellow symbol.... is that active on the weapon like the ones without the symbol? I'm assuming the yellow symbol just means it's a slot you have to unlock if you want to switch it out with another in transformation but it doesn't mean it's not active when actually using the weapon. Am I wrong?

Just wanna' make sure I'm understanding this correctly.

You are correct; all memory chips on a weapon/accessory will function, the 'locked' chips with the yellow icon just mean that you can't replace that chip with a different chip unless you unlock it first. You can still upgrade them (combine with chips of the same type using Lisbeth's 'transform' option) even if they are locked.

Also, I believe you can only unlock 1/2 of the chips on any given weapon (think it rounds up, so a 7-chip weapon could have 4 unlocked slots).

Yes both locked and unlocked memory chips are active. It's just the ones that are unlocked are able to switch with other memory chips of your choosing. So basically you would want best in slot memory chips you are looking for locked when you reach maximum memory chips unlocked.
Alright thanks a bunch!
