am i the only one put off by his messages? not only are you forced to have the gay scenes with him (if you are a male avatar) if you want the true ending, which i guess i could be fine with if not for his overly creepy affection level related messages. But seriously, his messages make me not want to do any of the scenes with him, they make me want to run and hide more than anything instead of begrugingly have him lay in my bed.

I'm not the only one finding him creepy here am i?

I was surprised, when he turned my "Yes, I am looking only at you" messages down, but also was upset, if I was looking at something else, but not him.
I was OMGing the first time I got the date thing and couldn't turn it off, because I wasn't going to date anyone.

But the creepy moment was, when I realised that Bazalt Joe was standing in my room.

I took those dates as just "spending time together", so I was good with the pictures, but Joe would be too much.

-Maybe Spoilers- Joe's conversations felt more like two buddies talking. Nothing romantic at all (PHEW!). Itsuki's on the other hand feel very romantic. More considering the fact that he's pretty much infautated with your character.

As how I see it, the game tends to imply that it is friendship between my character and Itsuki. But some details make it look not unconditional. I would say that my character sees Itsuki as a friend, and Itsuki cannot make up his mind.
In any case, when the guy is in your bed, he doesn't show you more than he should. But the pants of Death Gun are seen.
Talking about Itsuki's messages: there are so many messages from all that list, that I do not remember much from them already. Maybe, just do not read them?

haven't played much since the first DLC released (and showed how... crappy the SP is...) because i kinda got sick of thinking about "that guy"

the romance system in this game sucks. and itsuki was a poorly written character.

You gotta remember that this game is open for girls to play (hence choosing a gender) and female players need fanservice and a male love interest. He's the only bachelor for girls while guys get a whole buffet of women to choose from, and you don't see female players complaining about their characters sitting through lesbian relationships and bed events. ESPECIALLY when Kureha and Zeliska get a whole library's worth of affection events while Itsuki only gets four. And you're complaining? For a game open to both boys and girls, they're incredibly biased towards one side of the spectrum.

Just suck it up and remember it's not just guys playing this game. I'm already angry as is that female players only get one male love interest that ends up being written poorly to be the villain.

Preach! I'm so glad someone beat me to this topic. I totally agree with you, as a fellow female player myself lol I honestly felt my heart breaking at the complete end there. I really wish they would of catered a bit more to the female audience of the SAO game franchise, like we exist too, right? XD

Literally no girl complains about sitting through bed events with Zeliska and Kureha, because we all know to expect crowds of female characters in SAO (since it's essentially a harem anime).
So guys complaining about male characters when there is only one to sit through is somewhat ridiculous.

As for his messages being 'creepy and clingy', you may read them as that because you're a guy but I found them cute and romantic, and that's the POINT. He's directed to female players so of course you'd find it weirder. So I reiterate, suck it up. Ya'll always thinking it's just about guys.

A little bit confused by your question. How do players find Eiji?
Well even if he was the bad guy in Ordinal Scale he was still sympathetic, hopefully towards the male audience as well. Beacuse of course expect SAO to make any other pretty boy besides Kirito to be dead, crazy or a villain. At least Fatal Bullet gave him redemption (yet they still didn't even bother to add in affection events to establish a relationship, only bed events)
