How to climb a ladder
30+ hours gameplay and yet i cant still figure them out.

They are just there for looks. Use the UFG. Would have been nice to be able to climb them as an option but using UFG is quicker.

Some environments if its low enough, your character can vault over them by jumping toward it but thats about it, UFG the rest
