How to increase lizbeth modification level?

NG+ on extreme for lvl 7 Liz. I've heard she'll max around the time you enter the flugel for the first time but can't confirm myself yet.

What does everyone mean with "Level 7 Liz" anyways?
Just the ability that she is capable of enhancing weapons to Rank 7?
Or is there something else :D

The tutorial says that her level affects maximum rank she can enhance and amount of materials needed.
So yes, mostly for higher rank enhancing.

except for the fact that lvl 4 can enhance up to lvl 7 anyway.
lvl 7, which I personally have never seen despite being at the final boss in NG+1 extreme, will just lower your cost for transforming weapons.
... which is completely useless as you can just buy transformation mats at the mats vendor indefinitely.

The higher liz's modification level (you see that in the right upper corner when enhancing a weapon) the higher percentages you can get on memory chips.
Like on level 4 the max percentage I can have against lifeforms/mecha/humanoids is 14.30%, but when her level increases, the percentage can get higher.

That would be because of the DLC's each raise a rank. And one of the patches also increased a rank. Max Rank is 11 right now. So yes you will still need to do New Game+. Rank 7 was the old max before any DLC was released. These posts are from when the game launched.

Not all my weapons can be increased to level 7 or beyond despite Lisbeth shop at max rank. I suspect some weapons have innate level caps, and only some drops that start at a higher base level can be upgraded to higher levels.

A weapon can be upgraded twice before you need to just find a higher Rank version.

Every upgrade a weapon gains a +.
++ when upgraded twice. And can't upgrade more than twice. So if you find a weapon at Rank 7 and it's 7++ then you need to find a Rank 8 version which can go to 9+ and 10++.

Still need the Shop Rank maxed out to reach those higher upgrades and to get the bigger Memory Chip caps.

At the moment you can't upgrade to Rank 11 till the next patch/DLC comes in about 2 weeks. But you can find a small handful of Rank 11.
