No Death Penalty?
So I have noticed when I die I keep everything I have collected up to that point. Is there any reason why they didn't put a death penalty of some kind in?

Who knows but i cant complain a lot of items are expensive anyways... so if i can makem oney, gain levels then im happy
Might be because there no reason to penalize someone for dieing in game I personally don't want that, its stupid I like whats they've done and have it I just get teleported to sbc, if you want something like that in the sao games after re:hollow fragment comes on pc play that and deal with a total restart up to where your last auto save was or play a different game.

I don't have a huge deal with no penalty, just seems strange not to have one at all. Personally losing half of all collected mats and gear would be fair imo. I get that there are carebears that play that wouldn't want a dp but again just seemed weird that there wasn't one.

I think they should have implemented 2 differnt modes, Easy and normal. easy being how game currently is with no death penalty other than return to SBC, and normal would have been same difficulty of enemies but a 25% mats and currency loss on death, possibly a hard mode with 50% loss instead. Wouldve had care bear friendly as well as for the more pro hardcore gaming community

This is a looter shooter, if they put a penalty, especially for higher level and rare drop weapon. It will be a pain to get them back. Most death penalty prefer to Soul games since you don’t have much item except your skill bases.
If you said about SAO as a title game then the story already placed in the environment that death penalty is allowed. Try abyssal dungeon to know why death penalty would make it hard.
Timing is everything, and this game took about 15 -30min to run a dungeon
