It's stupid and it takes away control from the player. I want full dive control.
Z key to turn off the autoassist, you'll see that large rectangle reticle disappear. Then you have to aim manually, Z again to turn it back on.
I could use my controller, but decided not to due to mouse perfect aim...
rdfg is more common for doing that, but would still be screwed over by being unable to rebind the use key
If Z is on and you aim, it will autosnap to the monster usually at the wrong part.
There's another type of assist meant for controllers, which can't be turned off, your pointer slow down when it's over the monster so you don't over compensate. But your aim will still be aiming at the correct place.
Theres a different between aim assist and the "z" auto lock on
The Slow down from scoping in and snap targeting is what we are complaining about
Stop posting about OH HIT Z or DPAD UP zzzzzzzzzzz
(Some reason I feel like these are the people who are console peasant or dont play shooters on pc very often)
