After that, you got 4 slots open(2 per accessory). If for damage, you need LUC and DEX. If you want more damage mitigation, get those Defense vs xxx. Those are straight damage cut against certain type.
- First, for all important stats (STR, VIT, DEX, AGI) you need a +30 so you can max them without having to pay the extra CP for it which are pretty expensive passed 225.
- Second, your best and most general way to increase your survability is to have max HP on both accessory for a wooping +60% HP (gets you around 18K at max level). Also boost ALL skills and gadgets dependants on a percentage of your max HP by the same amount.
- third, must have chips are the CD reduciton ones, one on each accessory give you halved CD on all your skills and gadgets. Particularly important for attack/sword skills and iframes, especially the level 4 ones.
Tryng to boost DEX over the max (315) with double DEX chips (or doing so for any other stat) is a bad idea. It will cost you too much into other stats compared to the small advantage it will give. Only stat that would be worth doubling the bonus to get the max is LUC, because nothing require more than 195 luck so you can get to 255 without the cp cost.
There's a little variance. On sword builds DEX become way less usefull, so you'd want to replace the DEX chip by a LUC one, and put the CP used to max DEX into LUC instead.
But from my tetsing, with a type-Z sword you get the exact same result dps-wise between 100 luc 255 dex (less crit but bigger damage) and 104 dex 255 luc (more crit but less damage). Though the former require using a low DEX low damage gun as side weapon.
I'm currently testing a sword build with 255 DEX and 255 LUC, so with accessories with DEX x2 and LUC x2... to see if the loss in STR, AGI and VIT is bearable. What's interesting is that it allow to carry a pair of blue roses at full damage capacity as side weapon...
Example of my gun build accessory set-up (it's just a general set-up to be able to use any weapon and learn almost all skills beside buffs and heals, optimized for nothing in particular)

I'm curious how would you build for Sword Solo for Special Invitation.
I have been working on this without using Z sword.
- INT is the less usefull chip for accessory. You increase stats base score depending on what skills you want to unlock, then you increase them with accessories to max them and be able ot equip all type of weapons. All NPC suck as DPS, so you're bound to fullfill that roll in the party, and as a dps you dont want to boost INT higher than 193, which is the score needed for viral shot 4 and armor break 4. The amount of CD reduction it gives is trivial compared to the CD reduciton chips which are more than enough.
- HP regen isnt as good as it feels. Whenever you get hit by an attack, all your HP regen buffs stop for 5 seconds, that's the time required to use a first aid 2 gadget which will grants you way more HP back per second, especially if you have 2 max HP chips equipped. And with the CD reduction, the first aid kit CD will end before the regeneration of a previous use ends.
- Avoid death % is only good in very specific situations. Survive an attack that does only one single hit and do more damages than your max HP trough your defense. You'll notice in game that most OHKO attacks used by bosses are very telegraphied (better just avoid them), have a mechanic to avoid them and if you just wait to hit them in your face, they do at least 2 hits, making the avoid death chip useless. For casual mobs, they all use automatic weapons or multi-hit combos... Better max HP and defense with AGI and VIT, and learn to avoid those OHKO attacks.
- LUC scaling with the CP cost is terrible and make it too expensive compared to his effect on your critical rate, especially if you consider that it is a stat that doesnt require high levels for equiping guns or unlocking skills. Your CPs are better spent on DEX which also boost damage on weak spot, critical damage (so little less critical rate, but WAY more critical damage), and unlock skills usefull for guns. On sword build though, since dex become less usefull, you might prefer moving those DEX points into LUC, your critical damages will get reduced quite a bit, but with the appropriate sword you will be spamming critical hits like crazy, also LUC sligthly boost defense which is a good thing on sword builds....
If you dont use sword dash.... I'd say you dont :o
Swords are tank weapons, for solo invitation you need a DPS build.
If you master sword dash or sword stinger.....you just need skill freeze, sword barrier, hyper awarness and dual orbital 3 for mobility on your sword (any sword with 20% critic would do). On the robust Mk4 you need your 2 self buff attack and defense, viral shot 4 and dash attack or gunstinger 3 or 4 (rather 3 for the shortest CD). Doesnt take 5 minutes to complete....
Wouldn't that be glitching?
P.S.: But I'm currently tinkering with sword builds to try to get the most out of that weapon. Might post a screenshot once I'm satisfied with the result. That wont make it a good build for soloing invitation though....especially if you plan on doing it without a type Z sword.
Clearing the Boss without Z sword will just takes forever or may not finish in time. On average, Z sword does almost twice the damage or more comparing to other R11 swords with variant builds. Right now, I'm trying to find a combination that can 1 shot Lievre consistently without Z sword. So far, the Raikiri is closest to Z but still about 20K behind per hit Horizontal Square.
The hardest part is how to keep 100% Medal Guage when I get to Boss Room.
Yeah the type-Z sword is completely broken. Without it playing sword is a waste of time, since swords are better used as tank weapons and your character is already busy being the main dps in the party.
P.S.: for now I'm kinda okay with that build, but feels a little squeeshy compared to the old one and cant use all weapons...
