GL Ninja for funzies though.
What about the skills?
For all weapon categories you got basically 2 types, weapons with high damage per shot that usually have low ROF and crit rate on one hand, weapons with a lower damage per shot but higher ROF and crit rate on the other hand.
First type is better suited to spam damaging skills when the second type is more effective by spamming normal attacks boosted by buffing skills (reload speed, etc...).
Basically the first type has a better burst when the second usually get a higher dps, mostly thanks to the higher crit rate.
For grenade launchers there's also a second difference between the two types: the first type (low ROF, high damage per shot) comes with a fire DOT that, like all DOT in the game, is effective in short battle but start loosing effectiveness after some time (the more you apply a DOT to an ennemy, the more resistant it becomes to further application of that DOT). Note that the fire DOT of those GL have a slight difference with skills that apply a fire DOT in the way their shot create a puddle of fire on the floor that last a few seconds on impact, even if they hit no target.
You can easily figure out the type of a weapon by comparing it to other weapon of the same category.
For the case of launchers, GL ninja is of the second type, it has high fire and crit rates while having a rather low damage per shot.
The abaddon is tagged as grenade launcher but is actually a rocket launcher (straight shots), in the same way the crimson roar is tagged as rocket launcher but is actually a grenade launcher (arced shots, puddle of fire and only GL with optical ammos). Not sure if it's an overlook by the game devs or if it's intentionnaly made to be confusing...
Simply put, GL with low ROF that create fire puddles on the ground are better used for mobbing and give best result spamming damaging skills with them (plasma blast, graviton shot, etc...), then set the area on fire while those skills are on CD.
GL with high ROF are weapons to dps bosses by spamming normal attacks while boosted with utility buffs (mostly reload speed).
But now I should also say that, as weapon category, GLs are terrible at boss fights because of their inhability to reliably hit weak spots, their low crit damage and their terrible damage on weak spot (hidden stat). It's mostly a mobbing weapon, and as such the best choice is the first type used to spam damaging skills.
Rocket launchers are a close second when it comes to terrible weapons for fighting bosses with, but still better than GL because you can actually hit weak spots with them.
So I'd say your best choice would be a crimson roar with graviton shot 2, 3 and 4 in your skill barre. Save the fourth slot for hyper-awarness.... pin down ennemies with graiviton shots and then set the area on fire to further increase the amount of DOT...
Makes sure your secondary weapon is a weapon good at handling bosses (high crit damage, high damage on weak spot - handgun or sniper would be the best, but high crit/ROF SMGs or ARs should do the trick, anything but shotguns which are also mostly mobbing weapons).

No crit rate or crit damage even though it has a nice crit rate for a GL... If I'd bother to make a new one, I'd replace damage vs human and damage vs lifeform with crit rate and crit damage... to make it a behemoth killing weapon :3
P.S.: dont be surprised by the really short range of the CR, like I said, it's a weapon designed to spam damaging skills, so his range is irrelevant....
