well played
Couldn't do it with an xbox controller (switch->ability) due to sticky keys, FB's input handling, possibly input lag and because I was likely inputting incorrectly because it's a 3 button input for 2 actions. Basically everything.
I made a small (~10 line) AHK macro to do it a couple of hours ago to press 2 keys (can't use the "input lag" excuse here). Was 20% success rate in an empty room (might be due to lazy timings)... Didn't get it to work on the boss fight as a test case, so it might be related to a slight framerate drop killing the macro timing. This was at 30 FPS. Don't know if it would work better at 60 FPS.
Not inclined to bother figuring out or provide specific timings, nor am I gonna teach how to macro since I'm a lazy bastard.
Really only the second time I've used a macro in a game. First time was when playing Payday 2 and wanting to give my favorite pistol a burst-fire/full-auto mode for laughs.
I'm not doing crazy 1-shot damage, but I think that's because I'm not using dash attack 3/4. (Or might be because my weapons I'm testing on don't have good chips on them.)
EDIT: There's also different timings for the weapon switch depending on if you're standing still or walking/jogging/running.
EDIT2: Tested this against Cocytus and I believe all the particles effects are making the frames drop and I'm not able to perform it consistently when he's doing the fog-walk.
Gu~heh~heh...

It's just a manipulation, allow to use the skill of one of your weapon with the other one, leading to some ridiculous result when you do skills designed for guns with swords... or skills designed for smg with AMR or rocket launchers :3
For the sword it's just a type Z with all damage Vs, crit rate and damage, weapon attack, physical attack (for skills) and attack from behind. All maxed of course, but when using dash or gunstinger, which are gun skills doing melee damages from zero melee power (guns dont have melee power bu they still do melee damages with those skills....), with a weapon that actually have melee power (aka swords), the result is always absurdely high even with weaker swords, and when scoring a critical it's always 99.999.999 damage.
Though it's more interesting with dash attack than with gunstinger, because dash attack hit multiple times if used at point blank, doing insane damages and multiplying the chance to score a critical, which is a OHKO against anything in the game HC co-op included.
But you can also do pretty funny thing with other skills and weapons. Like sliding shot with a rocket launcher/AMR, scatter wheel with a crimson roar. It mostly work with attack skills, but those requiring projectile do nothing when using with a sword (quick shot, scatter wheel), unless there's a melee hit included in the skill (gunstinger, sliding shot).
The only thing that I couldnt do yet is using sword skills with guns. But seeing what doing projectiles skills with a sword gives....it probably wouldnt even do any damage at all.
