NPCs might not like you selling stacks of more than 100 fodder at a time
from what i read the devs never meant us to be able to sell it, just made a mistake on release of rtr.
They all knew it would be fixed sooner than later, and it was.
its a bit of a shame, as in the early game, i was able to make a bit of money to buy 1 tasty food dish, it didnt seam that broken, because once you harvest the nearby area to make fodders, it takes time for the plants to grow back and you have to venture deep into possible ambushes anyway :)
i think fodder should still be able to be sold (even at a bit less), since what you sell, cant feed your caravan horses, so you'll eventually need to find more (to consume that way) or to buy it back :)
