Convincing Simon in the Void?

Please help. Can anyone tell me how to convince Simon so he can jump out from the Void?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. If you do not look at the family photography in Bob's cabin then Jack does not know that Bob is Simon's father and cannot use this information to convince Simon to leave. There are a few instances like this in the game where the story and endings change depending on how much you explore the environment; the idea being that you are rewarded for being curious.

so if you miss this little detail, you have to replay everything for the achievment, that is brutal? i'm stuck at this guy and tried finding the answer, but meh, this is just no fun.

ok, just for other players like me.
You can actually snipe the bastard trough the portal with stones and he will port to the portal area, then you can shoot him in the portal.

@Reinie yes it may be a bit harsh alright. Difficult to coordinate all aspects of the game to work fairly. We kinda don't expect players to get all achievements and happy endings on a first play-though and also kinda hope players make different decisions on a second play-through to discover alternative endings and get achievements they missed.

Thanks for the explanation. I had the solution already, got all achievements, and saw every possible ending. Anyway, it's an interesting game. I really had fun (and a little bit frustration) playing it.

Well a good few decisions and/or actions in the game provide fun little animations in the end credits or changes in the garden scene : )
