The game hasn't been out for that long. Did they even warn people before removing it?

No, and their other board games have stayed on the store for longer.

Ultimately you have to realize after a couple years, you better buy a licensed game if you want it since this keeps happening more often than not.

My guess is they're working on a new version with multiplayer and just wanted a fresh start.

No it was complete greed. They could have added those features to this. They are hiding this game which indicates greed.

I think they just want to push everyone onto Board Game Arena.

I'm not sure why 'greed' is always the incredibly lazy go to thing of just screaming into the void because you don't really have anything useful to say? Its just 'greed' right? What does that mean? Last time I check companies are not non-profits so you know yes they want to make money. You have a job. So you are by your own definition 'greedy'.

Damn, was hoping for some more DLC.

I just cannot see them motivating anyone alreay owning it to buy the game again if they ever relaunch it. I was pretty much upset when the board game changed from Pegasus Games to Z-Man and had to buy everything I owned anew to include the new expansions into the game because - you guessed it - they changed layout and token sizes so that nothing really matched together anymore and frankly, I do not like games looking cobbled together. Were it not for the quality and fun-factor of the game, I would have left it in the shelves. I wonder, what they can and will to to entice me to spend my money again?!

I suspect it's mostly this. A board game app isn't worth much these days without built-in online play, and handing it over to BGA instead of re-doing an app means that all they have to do is sit back and collect royalties while BGA provides all the support.

does anbody have an unused expansion key? i have the expamsion for mutation (5th disease), but i think there's one more. willing to pay for a key.

The game has three separate DLC.

Pandemic - On the Brink: Mutation
Pandemic - On the Brink: Roles and Events
Pandemic - On the Brink: Virulent Strain

Try searching online for steam keys in the reseller shops.
