Valve Index Controllers not working, Anyone else having this issue? or have fixed this issue?

So upon starting the game on the title screen there are no controllers, to click okay on the start up screen. I have no mods installed for beat saber, the controllers work on other games like half life Alyx just not for this game.


Troubleshooting methods that i have tried
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have verified the game files
Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game
Updated the controllers"
Updated the VR System
Updated the graphics drivers
Restarted Steam
Restarted The Computer
Unplugged and Replugged in the VR System
Put the game on Beta mode
put it back on to the current state of the game.

If anyone has found a fix please let me know how you fixed it.

im on valve index, my index controllers work fine. Do you have same issue in OTHER VR titles?

Same here. I updated the controller drivers, graphics drivers, controllers and room space work fine in Steam VR room, but in beat saber, the floor is at my face level, and the controllers do not show a beam even if they are lit green and recognized in steam VR.

I have had this issue for the past 2 years or so. seems to happen randomly.
I have tried litteraly everything including reinstalling windows.

I have gotten it to work a few times, altough the issue does come back randomly,
What i did the last time to fix it:
- Shut down Steam completely.
- Remove the steamapps.vrmanifest file from "steam install dir/config/steamapps.vrmanifest"
- IMPORTANT! Start steam as administrator. < this i believe is the source of my issue as steamVR would ask for room setup every single time unless i run steam as administrator.
- Starting Beat Saber now had my controllers working again.

I have the same issue as of today. My controllers disappear and I can see one controller on the floor, at the centre position.

I was unable to use the Valve Index Controllers on the more recent versions of Beat Saber, while they worked fine on the legacy version as well as on other VR titles. I found the cause and the solution in my case, which relates to the OpenXR settings.

My HMD is Varjo Aero and it comes with Varjo Base software, which supports both OpenVR and OpenXR. Valve's SteamVR has its own OpenXR implementation, which gets deactivated when Varjo Base OpenXR is enabled.

To resolve the problem, SteamVR needs to be configured as the default OpenXR Runtime. This is achieved from inside the SteamVR Settings.

I also had the same issue of controller being on the floor and not moving, and somehow installing and running LIV background had solved this issue
not sure if this works for everyone and I don't know why it's working but JFYI
