Controllers not working in game [Solution in description]

When I load the game, the controllers are not working at all even though it works fine in other games. I'm not even able to click agree on the license agreement.

SOLUTION: As a few people have tested, turning off "Pause VR when Headset is idle" in the Video section of the steam VR settings will resolve this issue. Thank you!

exact same issue here, using rift S by chance? i have beat saber on oculus, not on steam, but same issue, the sabers are weirdly pointed to the side, and none of the buttons are working

Same thing here. Controllers work in other games but they disappear in beat saber on the end user license agreement screen so i can accept it or play the game. If i hit the home button of the controllers its brings up the home menu and the controllers appear again and work like normal but once i exit out of the home menu back into the game the controllers are gone again...

I have the same issue on Steam with HTC Vive pro.
After latest update no controllers in the game.

Yup, can't click on the license agreement since controllers aren't visible in-game although they work in the steam UI. Index btw

same problem controllers work fine in steam home and other games but when i launch beat saber they dont load. yet the XSOverlay i have attached on my controller is still visible and working

Well, I bypassed this problem by installing a 1.29 legacy version "beta" from game Properties->Beta
This way all my mods work too :D

Cannot use my controllers either, I am a vive user, works okay in other games. Guess I'll stick to audio trip.
