The current update breaks the game.

Get some QA please. I can't believe you were releasing this update .

Brand new index on brand new computer here. Same problems. Long load times to get into songs, get stuck at a black screen after failing or completing a song, had it just randomly crash trying to load a song. "Wonderful" first experience here!

I have the exact same issue with SteamVR/Index. It takes a long time to load in, I get to the menu and confirm the message... loads again. Then I pick a song and it crashes, brings me back to steam home... I tried unistalling/reinstalling, updated my video driver, restarted my computer... Nothing.

Same problems, Valve Index, long loadtimes, blackscreen after playing 5 custom songs.

Game no longer remembers which were my favorite customs songs or my highscores.

Loading times are a mess now! And there are Problems with the sounds ... in 80% of the levels ( new and old ) i dont hear the slashing sounds :P

I put "-vrmode oculus" in the launch options, but still I cant play multiplayer since I get kicked out when the song starts because of the waiting bug.

Beat Saber Legacy is the answer to all your problems here... Just consider it as a way to get a good and stable Beat Saber version in a completely legal way.

I am also having a similar issue. I have a quest 2 and i use an anker cable to connect to my pc, and normally it's fine but today my headset would always take way too long to load, assuming it didn't crash.

Echoing a "me too" in all of these threads. "waiting..." for 10-30 seconds before song start, 50/50 that it crashes back to lobby before it starts, 100% if it plays 1 song, it black screens before returning to the Beat Saber menu. Valve Index/RTX3080/11900K. Worked PERFECTLY yesterday before this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patch. No mods.

Adding in another "me too".... Index, 2080Ti, was working fine 3 days ago, update today added in new "features" such as long "waiting" screens, long load times sitting on blank screens for songs, and completely blank screens after songs that force you to kill the process to regain control of the headset. Quality update here....

Seems I'm having this issue as well, was working perfectly fine last night
Edit: Steam file validation states it's missing 10 files on my end, went to start it up again, same problem, closed it, revalidated files, lo and behold: 10 missing files!

Working fine wonderfully last night on 5/26/2021 with 0 issues
Today, I experienced the same stuttering / black screen / waiting screen / long loading times as everyone else mentioned here
i7-10700k, RTX 3080, 64 GB 3200 Mhz RAM
HTC Vive Cosmos Elite

Retsarting computer does nothing
Verifying game cache files replaces 12 files
Then play the game for 5 minutes, exist Steam VR
It needed to replace 10 files

The game is literally deleting its own files while playing. Developers, we don't care about the new features, bug fixes, etc. if we can't play. Please roll this patch back ASAP!

You're going to lose your player base with mistakes like this.

Same problem here as well with Index, tr3970x RTX 3090 system. I just got my Index back from RMA and now how am I supposed to work up a proper BS marathon with a busted patch. Here's to hoping there's a fix they can push out soon.

Bump same issue. Worked on the 25th, doesn't work today. Lots of waiting windows, black screen after 1 - 2 songs. Didn't update drivers, made no changes to my PC
