Can't play with htc vive cosmos

Hi,
My friend has the htc vive cosmos and he can't install any mods, everytime he launch the modded game it starts on his desktop but nothing happens in the headset, we tried to reinstall the game, to update everything (NVIDIA, viveport, steamVR, ...).
I have a htc vive classic and can play the modded game without problems so i gave him my game files but nothing works.
Do you have any ideas to make it playable? Thanks

I suppose unmodded game runs fine? Then I'd suggest going for a clean reinstall (search in other threads, it was explained here plenty of times by community, including me), then he must run clean game at least once before running Mod Assistant to proceed with mods install.

And I think it would be wise not to mention that you give someone your game files, as it's technically illegal :)
