There is issues with the CameraPlus plugin so maybe that's it if you have it installed, but I've found that most of my issues with it are in the menu, not actually in-game. It could also be an Avatar, I have a few avatar that my PC can't handle very well. It could also be your sabers, or your platform. Try with no avatars, stock sabers and stock platform, without the CameraPlus plugin.
This is not normal, and it should never happen. No software just gets worse over time and starts to perform worse and worse, it's just not a thing that can happen. Maybe in a single session due to an issue like a memory leak, but never between reloads and full reinstallations of the game. This is definitely a hardware problem, it doesn't mean if it says that your PC is VR ready, this is just a guideline. Sounds like your CPU is overheating terribly or maybe it's straight up dying on you. Clean the PC properly, replace the thermal paste, see if it thermal throttles. If it does buy better cooling maybe that will help, close anything else you have running in the background. Do a clean install maybe you have too much junk, I don't know your setup, you should know best.
Also, that processor is really jjust barely enough for VR, if it's reaching 100% usage then you are walking on thin ice. It is 100% a hardware issue and the only thing you can do is either buy a better CPU, or try to get your PC into tip top shape any way you can, but even then it might not be enough. The game is constantly getting updated, the requirements might increase and there's nothing you can do about it.
I don't get it.. is this increasing or lowering the AA? How can increasing the AA make the lag go away?
No I have it off and SS at 1.2. My GPU ran these settings like a dream before.

It worked for me, so I hope it will help you as well
Unfortunately that didn't work for me. I'm having a weird issue where my 1060 drops to like 30% and integrated rises to like 50% only for beatsaber. It causes bad lag in many songs. Integrated graphics stop and GPU rises to ~80% as soon as I go to SteamVR Home or another program.
