Option to Disable Steam VR Menu Button.
I have a feeling this isn't possible. As in, this is a pure function of Stream, and the controller, that you guys have no control over.

It would be a huge boost to quality of life, if you could turn off the ability to get to the Stream VR menu while in game. Or, make it so that you have to hit the button 3 times within 3 seconds to access the menu.

So many times while playing and really getting into the swing of things (har har) I've hit that stupid button, paused the game, dropped to the steam menu crap, and have had to exit, hit continue.... and pray I hit that block when it unpauses.

If there's ANYTHING that can be done about this, that would be awesome!!! (Or if anyone else has a solution to help my big stupid monkey hands from NOT hitting that button so often, that would be super handy!)

On the Vive controller I just put my thumbs on the touchpads and keep them pressed throughout the song. And with the Oculus controller put your thumb over your index finger just like how you would make a fist, it keeps you far away from the menu button.

You can turn it off in the steam vr developer menu tab.

Zero You're a legend thanks mate. For anyone else Under developer Tab you uncheck the box that says "Enable VR dashboard":steamhappy:

The solution above does not work as of today.
The new solution is to go into the Steam Dashboard, then Settings (or just Settings from the STEAMVR hamburger menu). Make sure Advanced Settings on the bottom left is set to SHOW. Click on Dashboard, then turn OFF the option for "VR Dashboard on System Button". I hope this helps someone. Saw this as the top hit on Google, so figured I'd update it.
Note: This works as of STEAMVR (BETA) 1.11.11
Edit 2: The game can still be paused if you accidentally double press the System Button. It will also display the external camera in what looks like a stylized night vision mode.
It was also suggested in other forums to either hold the controllers sideways or hold the Trackpad (Face Button) during matches. I'll continue to update without apology if I come across any other tips.

Thank you, I was looking everywhere because steam vr makes the game slow down and is therefore less fluid.

Thanks so much. I was pulling my hair out thinking there was a global override for the customized keybindings exclusive for Beat Saber. You not only confirmed my suspicious but gave a valid answer. Cheers mate!
