Don't you find it suspicious that people who is good at competitive game with hundreds/thousands of hours never complain about such "mysterious misses"? :) Although we are playing pretty crazy maps, so if the bug is there it must happen to us much often, right? I mean how is it possible to FC >2000 notes with 23 NJS and 350 bpm and have >95% if the game is that bugged? I mean we understand tracking, lags, etc. but the code is fine and if saber hits the block it just hits the damn block.
The faster you accept that you are just naturally bad at the game (like pretty much everyone at the beginning) and focus on improving and using replay analysis for this, the faster you become better.. and then couple hundreds hours of proper practice later will be like "what the hell I was talking about before? the game is totally fine" :)
Thanks, great to know im not the only one. Atleast one person that didnt react like im a untrustworthy terrorist ("Vid proof or lying"). Its not even that it just doesnt register, but I can see the saber visibly slow down in movement right after it "misses" through the block.
I am the last person to bash the devs to get the Defense Brigade on me, I bought the game full price (+ slowly the DLCs) to support our underappreciated czechoslovak game industry instead of gray market resellers, just like I preordered Kingdom Come Deliverance back in the day. Ignoring the problem/glitch/bug/whatever and newbies like me hurts the game more than admitting theres a problem and helping. :(
Guess I am "just bad", while looking at the saber go through the blocks both on slowed down easy and sped up expert, ill have to live with it until I get fed up with it.
Man, I mean do the recording, seriously. It's not like we don't believe you, I totally believe that you see it like that. But you will be surprised that what you see is different from what is actually happening and your mind is playing tricks on you. And if you show it we can point out why this is happening because we know Beat Saber mechanics inside out.. I mean most of us went through this ourselves..
Seriously, I have a feeling they make it from soufflé.. they brake really often. I mean Silverhaze managed somehow crack it just by squeezing it, and previous one he had just started drifting like crazy after some pieces inside fall off LOL
Sorry for your loss man
You most likely are not bad. I only started to realize this issue as I got better at the game. Sure the songs get a lot harder really quick and there are songs I still can't play through, but I'm at the point where I know some of these misses are not due to user error. I'm no Cerret or Astrella but I can tell when a suspicious miss comes up every once in a while.
Did you do replay analysis? I just don't understand how is it possible to jump to such conclusions without it :(
It's like 70% timing, 20% tracking and 10% frame drops/lags.. most common "suspicious misses" are due to bad timing (especially in these cases mind drawing what it wants to see instead of what actually happened), but again, without gameplay recording it's impossible to tell.
Try to run a super slow map and abuse hitbox slowly hitting with crazy angles and small swings, you will see some very interesting things going on :)
Try this :

https://github.com/Umbranoxio/beatsaber-gc-fixer/releases/tag/1.0.0
Both help me for lag and tracking ;)
I have no other problems in any other games, I've redone my room setup and ensured that none of my Index components need any updates, and I've set records on E+ songs in the top 30 on the board for several songs in past.. so I'm about as good as players come at this game. I'm fairly certain it's not me.
I suppose none of my other games require quite the tracking reliability that Beat Saber does, so perhaps my Index just isn't tracking like it should at high speeds.. but I'd still think I'd see issues in other games to some extent.
