Weird tracking issues on Virtual Desktop (Quest 2)
Hello, I'm having a strange issue and I don't know why it's happening. I am trying to play beat saber on my quest 2 via virtual desktop, and for some reason, my sabers keep disappearing and reappearing, my FPS dips a little bit but it's normally pretty high, at one point it did freeze, but shortly after that my entire quest froze, so that might've been unrelated.

I tried lowering a lot of the settings, I've also tried lowering the resolution in SteamVR, it seems to improve it, I don't really know why I am having issues here, my computer exceeds the minimum requirements, maybe even recommended requirements, and I also tried a game called "Derail Valley" which is quite a lot heavier then Beat saber.

It's also worth noting, that I tested this game on an Alienware computer too not long ago, and I don't think it had this issue, the alienware was similarly spec'd to the computer I am trying today. I wonder if maybe it's either the fact that there is a lot more happening, or it's a windows thing.

I am using AMD Ryzen 7, and a Geforce RTX 4050, because yes, it is a laptop. I've also got 16gb of DDR5 ram.

Could anyone lend me a hand here?

Have you checked your internet/wifi? Using VD means requiring good internet, and IMO I have enjoyed the less latency you get when you use quest link + cable.

I did do a speed test, I don't know if it was the internet to be honest. The speed test appeared to be normal, however, according to Virtual Desktop, I was rocking 36ms latency, so, I don't know if that would qualify as breaking it?

But, I wonder, do you "need" to buy the quest link cable? could something like this work? https://www.amazon.com/LDLrui-Charging-Superspeed-Transfer-Replacement/dp/B09HXKSZ5B?ie=UTF8&th=1
it's just, very rich for my blood, lol.
This cable has worked perfectly for me, I have used it for 50 hours of gameplay so far: https://www.amazon.com/Kuject-Separate-Charging-Ultra-Durable-Accessories/dp/B09TN25765/

Ah rip. They are probably both the same quality if you aren't able to cancel.
