Left knuckle controller keeps turning itself off

So this started happening after around the 1.38 update; the first song always goes fine, but between the second and tenth or so the left controller will keep turning itself off every minute or so. Battery shows full. I only get this issue in BS; other games I will play for an hour or more and have never encountered this. I guess it could be a mechanical issue; I swing the controllers around much more frenetically in BS than any other game, so in theory it could be a loose battery connection, but it seems odd that it only occurs after a certain amount of play. Before I try rolling back to an earlier version or open the controller to check the connections I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same. I'm using a HTC Pro 2 for the headset, so I'm using Vive Console along with SteamVR. I'm using the last version of SteamVR since the current one is causing jitter problems for me.
