That way you never need to put your login in BSmanager, if that's what you were worried about.
I have already purchased the game 3 times over my account .. my daughters.. and Oculus account..
Have purchased all the 'packs' on oculus.. and on my Valve account have only bought a couple as I have just purchased the Index .. .. yep.. think I'm going to stop giving meta money.
I seriously hope that 'meta' doesn't destroy this game like so many other greedy companies have, in my opinion. Oh wait.. it seems they are. slowly but surely.
I've been using mod assistant ever since I bought beat saber.
and I had hell when they keep updating beat saber up the butt.
It really is. I'll never understand why they never implemented official mod support. That's absolutely essential to the long term health of a game's community. I'll also never understand why absolutely every update, no matter how minor, always seems to break everything. It's like they intentionally made the game to be as unfriendly to mods as possible for some reason.
But Beat Games had absolutely no choice but to do that update.
The Unity Engine version that they were using (i.e. 2019.4.28.X LTS) was outdated and had all including Security Support end on 16th June 2022 so the engine wasn't being supported by Unity Technologies since mid last year.
Now that they have done this update we "should" now be safe from these HUGE Major Version jumps for the next year or two.
Unity 2021.3.x LTS (what the game is now using) is the latest Long Term Support by Unity Technologies, that will keep getting biweekly until mid 2023 and then monthly updates until April 2024.
But I think we may / will see another Unity Engine version upgrade last quarter this year or first quarter next year, assuming they want to keep getting Engine Support from Unity Technologies.
So we just need to wait for the Mod Devs to update their mods.
we will have to use the unity version of beat saber.
that's the only way that it would work.
I plugged my VR after some months, and have legacy installed and doesnt feel like trying to update and see for myself, just to get frustrated with broken game...
*** update ***
Actually not all my mods are showing up or working, so I will be going back to the legacy version until the Mod Devs catch up.
But it would depend on the mods you are using I guess.
