I reinstalled it, but saved the data beforehand.

now it works again .

Personally Ive competely switched to using LIV if you have the extra resources to do that. LIV uses the same .avatar extension and honestly the avatars actually work better in most cases. Sure you dont see your avatar in game but thats a small price to pay for always having avatars work regardless if beat saber updates mods. In fact you can use avatars without modding beat saber whatsoever with this method.
