Beatgames (facebook) can play your rubbish yourself.
But about that sucking downhill: I agree there's some weird lag/issues with hit detection going on. I mentioned this in a lot of threads here before, so i won't go too much into detail, but it's quite annoying. Especially fast combinations of fast moving blocks have some random misses where i'm 100% sure it should be a hit. Or i get a hit sound and it doesn't count, or i hit the block, but don't get any rumble or i get rumble half a second later.
I really love Beat Saber, but i hope this issue will be fixed soon. It's really frustrating when i try to get a 100% combo and near the end of the song there's some random hit detection error. Stuff like that shouldn't happen in a game like this. This ruins not just the highscore, it ruins flow and concentration too.
System: Ryzen 3600X, 32 GB Ram, RTX 2080, Oculus Rift S, Windows 10
Additionally to the weird hit detection lag almost every song suddenly freezes up in the middle and obviously the song is lost after it starts running again. I almost never had freezes in this game before but since the mp patch I barely finished 10 songs due to this.
Thus the game became unplayable for me. :(
I wish they'd just release the pre-facebook version as another game in the lib with no updates ever. :/
This used to be my favorite game and I almost never play it now because of how infuriating it has become.
Also sorting songs by playcount does not work anymore which makes navigating custom songs impossible.
And mp stopped working for me too, not that it was fun to begin with.
Okay I vented enough. ^^
See you in a couple days when I try to play it again to be frustrated. >.<
But I wonder, if it only happens in Beat Saber, do you perform similar hand movement in other games too?
Yeah, Until you fall, Pistol whip, Audio trip, all have pretty fast hand movement.
I have the quest 2 and I believe they fixed the battery movement flaw. One thing that has come to my notice though is that when the Quest 2 reports that you still have 80% battery life in your controllers the actual battery's are down below 1.3 volts. So there could be the issue.
Another possible reason - CPU time to handle motion tracking properly. Keep in mind CPU time is not equal CPU headroom - when you do VR lots of things happening on your CPU simultaneously and for BS you want it to work all VR related things first. You need to monitor your play with oculus tray tool or debug tool to see whether you have frame drops and do some adjustments in case you do. Like giving higher priorities to oculus services and BS and some other tricks. I've mentioned it many times in other threads, you can find these tweaks if you are interested.
It's just happens that BS is the best VR lag detector available here right now :) You can have a lot more lags in hl alyx and don't bother even noticing them, but here 1 lag can ruin a 5 minute crazy play.
I don't suppose you can post a link to those batteries can you?
