As for the difference in the websites, beatsaver is the main repository where all the custom songs that mappers create are stored, and bsaber just mirrors it alongside some social media-lite functionality. In essence, beatsaver is the warehouse where the maps are kept, and bsaber is the fancy store front.

After installing a lot of Songs, it could happen you cant play a song.
Some need the mods "Noodle Extensions" , "Chroma" and "Mapping Extensions". Find in categorie "Libaries" in Mod Assisst.
Also "Song Browser" in "UI Enhancements" is great tool to sort songs ingame
Take this 4 Mods and standart mods with you. Click the Box at all 4 and hit "Install"
If you started with all this modded stuff, i want to show you the online-multiplayer mod.

I have done exactly this but when I search for songs nothing comes up .. don't know what the issue is :/
Correct. The game does come with maps already, as well as some DLC song packs. In order to play other songs, you'll either need to make the levels yourself, or download ones made by others. There have been several attempts at auto-generating levels, but they never come out quite right. And even the ones that are "playable", they're still well below the quality of maps made by hand (well, the good mappers at least).
I have to say that is rather, off putting.
Looking over Beatsaver, it will take HOURS and hours to simply browse what is there. No filters for genre, no alphabetical list, no real way to sort it at all.
Bsaber is much better for searching. A LOT better in fact. Even with the better search functions it will still take hours if not days to browse. At 1,400 pages in total, browsing alone will likely take at least a WEEK straight!
But then comes other problems. These custom songs are often gated into a single difficulty. And by a quick look its seems to be 60% expert. And the more niche you get the harder it becomes. There's no skill build up there. Just straight into an personal a** kicking.
Finally comes simply finding what you want. Say you are looking for a certain song or an OST. Odds are you wont find it and it will never exist. Did a few searches for OSTs I own or happen to like on Bsaber, found very little. And what I did find was often downvoted.
I will agree that custom made will likely always be MUCH better than anything automatic. But without automatic levels it vastly limits the game as a whole. Figured that I would be able to simply pick a playlist and just get to playing the game. Wouldn't really care if automatic levels wasn't perfect, at least then I could just play the game without going though hoops of hoops or spending hours to maybe find something.
