Is there a way to enter the level editor without going into VR?

It just seems kind of tedious to have to enter VR to use a program that does not work in VR

You can use the FPFC tag to launch the game and controller it with your mouse and keyboard. Though before you start working with the official editor too much, check out the BSMG wiki page for some guides on mapping (as well as some info about different editors).
